If you are not receiving lead notifications, check the following:
The user has notifications enabled
The user role allows access to lead data
The user is selected on the specific funnel
You can also add catch all emails, such as intake@firm.com, to ensure no leads are missed.

Assuming admins automatically receive all leads
Forgetting funnel specific notification settings
