Integrating Filevine with Lawbrokr

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Who This Is For

Marketing teams, intake teams, and firm administrators using Filevine

What the Filevine Integration Does

The Filevine integration allows Lawbrokr to push intake data directly into your Filevine account.

When connected, Lawbrokr:

  • Creates a Contact record in Filevine

  • Pushes all intake response data into the Contact Notes section

This ensures your intake team can review complete intake information inside Filevine without manual data entry.

How the Integration Works

The integration uses a secure OAuth connection with Filevine.

The workflow looks like this:

  1. A potential client completes a Lawbrokr intake

  2. Lawbrokr authenticates with Filevine via OAuth

  3. A new Contact record is created in Filevine

  4. All structured intake responses are written into the Contact’s Notes

  5. Intake teams can immediately review the submission inside Filevine

Lawbrokr does not overwrite existing Contacts. If Filevine detects a matching Contact, its standard behavior applies based on your Filevine configuration.

Connecting Filevine to Lawbrokr

To connect Filevine:

  1. Log in to Lawbrokr

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Select Integrations

  4. Choose Filevine

  5. Click Add

  6. Authenticate using your Filevine credentials

Once authenticated, the integration is active.

No additional field mapping is required.

Where Intake Data Appears in Filevine

After a successful submission:

  • A Contact record is created in Filevine

  • The full Lawbrokr intake appears in the Contact Notes section

This includes:

  • Contact information

  • Answers to all intake questions

  • Context captured during the workflow

This approach keeps Filevine data clean while preserving the complete intake narrative.

What This Integration Does Not Do

It is important to understand the scope of the integration.

The Filevine integration:

  • Does not automatically create Projects or Cases

  • Does not upload documents

  • Does not map responses into custom Filevine fields

Its purpose is to deliver complete intake context into Filevine efficiently and reliably.

Best Practices

  • Review new Contacts promptly inside Filevine

  • Use Contact Notes as the primary intake reference

  • Pair with Lawbrokr Response Management for qualification decisions

  • Use Lawbrokr Automations for consistent follow up

This setup works best when intake review and CRM workflows are aligned.

Common Mistakes

  • Expecting Project or Case creation instead of Contact creation

  • Looking for intake data outside Contact Notes

  • Forgetting to test the integration after connecting

  • Assuming document uploads are supported
