Layerswap implements an incentives program aiming to reduce barriers of bridging to Optimism. $OP tokens are being distributed to users for all transfers to Optimism.
Here are the most common questions we get from users related to the campaign:
When will I receive my $OP rewards?
The rewards are airdropped every Monday directly into wallets. There's no need to claim them. The earnings can be checked in the "Campaigns" section of the home page.
How much $OP will I get from a transfer?
For each transfer from exchanges or networks, users receive 85% of fees back in $OP.
Example: Transferring $USDC from Arbitrum One to Optimism (given Layerswap fee is 2.21 $USDC) earns you ~1.422 $OP.
Is there a cap on earnings?
No. We have removed the weekly cap for rewards, and there's no cap on the number of transfers you can do. However, there's a specified pool for each round of the campaign, which is indicated on the $OP Rewards campaign page.
I've made a transfer but haven't received $OP rewards.
If this is the case, here's what you can do:
Make sure you're looking for the rewards in the destination address that you used for transferring to Optimism.
Check if it's passed the airdrop date. If no, wait for a few days. The rewards are being distributed every Monday.
Make sure the campaign is still active.
