Instructions can be used for many purposes such as adding guidelines on how to use the mobile app, stressing certain points to be done before submitting, or adding instructions on how to play an activation if the form is linked to an activation. You can add text, images, links, and embedded content like YouTube videos or Google Maps.
Adding Instructions
Instructions are added from the Event Designer. To add instructions, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Properties tab.
Scroll down to Instructions.
Click on Add Instructions.
A Pop-up will be displayed where images, texts, and links can be added.
The 'Display on initial open' causes the instructions pop up to show when a user launches the capture form for the first time.
When 'Show in webview' toggle is on, it allows the instructions to be displayed in a pop up when a user launches the webview of the capture form for the first time.
Once you are done, click on 'Save'.
Then save the form.
Web App Display
Example:
To close the instructions, click on the 'X' icon at the top left of the popup.
Mobile App Display
Example:
To close the instructions, click the 'x' icon on the top left of the screen.
To display the instructions on demand, click on the event's widget and then click on the 'Instructions' button as shown:
To return to the events page, click on the '<' icon on the top left of the screen.
