Audience Filters

Audience Filters allow you to customize your audience by pages visited, Geo location, and more.

Updated over 3 months ago

When adding or editing lead campaigns or integrated marketing campaigns, you will set your campaign audience filters on the Audiences step of the campaign setup wizard (step 3).

When you select an audience on this step, you will see an Add Filter icon appear.

This will bring up the Audience Filters dialog.

On the Audience Filters dialog, if you select a pixel audience from the audiences list, you will see a Basic filter tab and an Advanced filter tab. In most cases, we recommend using the Basic filters tab filter website visitors for your campaign.

Basic Filters

User Must Visit At Least One of These Pages

If you would like to only target visitors that go to specific pages of your website, you can enter one or more page URLs to target in the User Must Visit At Least One of These Pages text area. The system matches visitors based on a wildcard search of each page URL entered.

For example, if you enter /product, any page URL that contains forward slash /product would be considered, regardless of the domain or any query string parameters that may follow.

When entering multiple page filters, if a visitor goes to at least one of the URLs listed, the visitor would be eligible for campaign delivery.

User Must not Visit Any of These Pages

If you would like to exclude visitors that go to specific pages, such as an order confirmation page, you can enter the website URLs of these pages in the User Must not Visit Any of These Pages text area.

Just like the page filters, the system matches visitors based on a wildcard search of each page URL entered. When entering multiple URLs, if a visitor goes to any URL entered prior to campaign delivery, the visitor would be excluded from this campaign.

NOTE: URL filters are case sensitive.

Minimum Page Views

You can also specify that the user must visit a certain number of pages to be eligible for your campaign by entering this number in the Minimum Page Views input.

Only Target New Visitors Since

You can set a date for the Only Target New Visitors Since input, which will restrict the campaign to only target new visitors on your pixel audience based on the date you specify.

Click Save and Close to save your changes. Note that your updates will not be applied until you save your campaign by clicking the Add or Update button on the campaign setup wizard.

Advanced Filters

You have the ability to set up more advanced filter logic based on the attributes of the audience type selected. Because advanced filters are highly nuanced, we recommend contacting support to help get your advanced filters set up so your campaign goals can be successfully achieved.
