Pixel Audiences
A pixel audience is a group of visitors that have been collected from placing the LeadPost pixel on a website.
When you used our Quick Start Guide to launch your first lead campaign, we automatically created your first pixel audience for you, which is named Default Pixel.
If you would like to rename this pixel audience, head to Audiences>Pixels and then click the edit icon next to “Default Pixel”.
Enter a new name you’d like to use to identify this pixel audience, and click Update to save this change.
Add a Pixel Audience
If you have a different website that you want to track separately or set up a separate lead campaign for, you can add a new pixel audience by clicking Add Pixel.
Give this pixel a name to remember it by and then click the Add button.
After adding this new pixel audience, you will see a confirmation message with a button to launch our Pixel Assistant to assist you in placing the code for this new pixel audience.
Note: Unless a pixel audience is bound to at least one lead campaign, no leads will be collected on this new pixel audience.
After creating a new pixel audience, head to Campaigns>Lead and either add this new pixel audience to an existing lead campaign, or create a new lead campaign for this pixel audience. How to add/edit lead campaign.
Pixel Icons
On the pixel audiences list, you will see an icon indicating whether a pixel audience is tied to at least one lead campaign. If you see this icon, you can mouse over this icon to see a list of lead campaigns the pixel audience is bound to.
If you don’t see this icon, this means that the pixel audience is not bound to a lead campaign and you will need to add this pixel audience to at least one lead campaign in order to start collecting leads for this pixel audience.
On the pixel audiences list, there are a few other icons to point out.
First, you will notice next to each pixel audience that there is a small colored circle icon to the left of each pixel audience name, which is a visual indicator of the pixel audience’s firing status.
GREEN indicates that the pixel for this audience is placed properly and recent pixel fires have been recorded.
ORANGE indicates that the pixel for this audience has recorded pixel fires, but no pixel fire has been detected in the last 48 hours, indicating that the pixel code appears to have been removed from the site.
RED indicates that the pixel for this audience has never recorded a pixel fire. If you just placed the pixel code, you will want to navigate to one of the pages where the pixel code was placed and return to this page. If this indicator remains red, this means that the pixel has not been properly placed.
The next icon is the code icon. Clicking this icon will bring up our pixel assistant to walk you through how to place the code or allow you to get the actual pixel code HTML if you prefer.
The “tool” icon is for our pixel troubleshooter. If you are having issues with your pixel code or just want to make sure the pixel code is placed properly, you can click this icon and follow the instructions to scan your website to check if the pixel code is placed correctly.
The last icon, the graph icon, allows you to view pixel fire stats. When you click this icon, a dialog will appear showing you a bar chart of gross and unique pixel fires per day.
