With Two Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled for your Lean Library Dashboard, you can increase the security of your account. Once you have this activated, you will be required to complete a secondary level of authentication, when you log in on a new device.
To limit the personal data we collect, we have chosen to support 2FA via Authentication apps, such as Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator apps. Please download this app onto your device before setting up the 2FA on the dashboard. For iOS users, please download it here. For Android users, please download it here.
To activate Two Factor Authentication, firstly please log in to the dashboard and click on your profile:
Once you have clicked your profile, you will be taken to this page. Please select Two-Factor Authentication, and then switch the option to ON:
You will be asked to log in with your dashboard details, please enter your login details to enable this feature.
Once you have logged in with your details successfully, you will see a QR code appear for you to pair this with your Google Authenticator app.
After the QR code appears, please open your Google Authenticator app and do the following steps and obtain the six-digit code:
Now head back to the dashboard, and click Next, then enter the six-digit code:
Once you have entered the code successfully, you will receive Backup codes, in any occasion if you do not have access to your device, you can use these one-off backup codes to access your account. Please keep this somewhere safe.
After you have saved the code, you are good to go!
Now it is all set up, when you next log in to the dashboard on a new computer, please have your device with the authentication app on hand, so you can insert the six-digit code to log in.
