Lean Library Futures is our premium subscription package which includes all of the services provided by Lean Library, including Lean Library Access, Workflow for LibGuides and Lean Library Futures. To understand what Lean Library Futures offers, please find more information here.
To maximise the functionality of the Lean Library browser extension, we'll need some information from your library to integrate with your systems.
Here is the information we'll need to set up Lean Library Futures and how we'll use it:
Lean Library Futures
Additional Search Results Feature
Our Additional Search Results feature brings your library's discovery to your patrons. Your patrons can pull the discovery search results to their Google and Google Scholar search results page to find more content from their library.
We can integrate with the below Discovery Search systems and here is the information we'll require to set up the integration:
EBSCO EDS: EBSCO Client ID
Exlibiris Primo: Primo Search API key (more info here)
OCLC Worldcat: WorldCat Discovery API (if you do not have this information, please reach out to support@leanlibrary.com for further assistance)
TDNet: API key
Database Integration
We can also integrate with other discovery content providers, for example, TRIP Database, JSTOR.
TRIP Database: No integration is required
JSTOR: No integration is required
Keyword Enhancement
The content integration feature brings any publisher taxonomy information to your patron's workflow and directs them to the relevant journal article or content. This can be set up even when the publisher isn't directly integrated.
We'll set this up with an example from SAGE Research Methods.
Net Promoter Score (NPS)
Our first, at scale qualitative insights tool is the popular NPS (Net Promoter Score) solution. You can evaluate and compare your selected library resources by providing the same questionnaire to your patrons at the point they access the resources.
No integration is required.
Workflow for LibGuides
With the Workflow for LibGuides feature, you can surface any of your LibGuides, or any other onboarding manuals at relevant points of your patrons' workflow. For example, you can deploy your Google Scholar’s LibGuide to your patrons whilst they are searching for articles on Google Scholar.
LibGuides Integration
Site ID and Key: this is not essential as we can work with your LibGuides without direct integration. However, if you do provide us with this information, we can integrate your LibGuides onto the dashboard so you can directly assign your LibGuides to your desired academic websites.
Please follow the instructions here to obtain the Site ID and Key.
LibChat Integration
Direct link of your Library Chat widget: We integrate with your Library Chat system so you can deploy your live chat service to your patrons as and when they need it. We can integrate the Springshare LibChat or other third-party solutions with this feature.
Please follow the instructions here to obtain the Direct link of your LibChat widget.
Supporting Tools
The below tools can be used to support your patrons by providing answers to frequently asked questions with easy access links to the library's service desk and can be used to collect useful insights from patrons by setting up surveys on selected locations.
Library FAQ: No integration is required.
Library Survey: No integration is required.
Library Service Desk: No integration is required.
Lean Library Access
Lean Library Futures also provides you with access to Lean Library Access. If you currently do not have Lean Library Access set up, please refer to this article to find out what information is required to set up Lean Library Access.
