The Remaining Early Start represents the next immediate date from when the remaining portion of the work in the activity can be resumed
In the masterplan pre-configuration phase, this date can be changed by the user if the activity has some progress.
Setting the remaining early start date becomes mandatory when the user updates the progress for an activity in the pre-configuration phase.
Once the Remaining Early Start (RES) date has been set, any subsequent change to it after Lookahead is generated will either advance or delay the remaining portion of the activity.
To change the RES in masterplan pre-config, double click on the Activity bar to get the edit activity option shown below.
Provide a new date for Remaining Early Start based on the progress of the activity and click Tick.
Note: An activity should have some progress for it to have the RES date. The RES should be edited together with its progress. Also, when the activity is 100% completed, it will not have any RES as there is no remaining work to be done.
