Activity constraints can be managed in Masterplan.

There are three menus for a constraint: Detail View, Mini Widget and Timeline View. Managing constraints can also be done from the Lookahead.

Activity constraints can be managed using the Detail view of the constraint, where various features given below can be done:

  • Edit constraint name

  • Edit constraint description

  • Change ETA and due date

  • Update constraint status

  • Change the Assignee of the constraint and its steps

  • Edit due-dates and status of steps (covered in a separate article)

  • View the Affected Task/Activity by the constraint

  • Update comments and attachments

To access the Timeline View of a constraint, hover over the Constraint circle in the Gantt Chart. An arrow pointing left will appear. Clicking on the arrow will expand the constraint into a Timeline View, where each circle represents the Due Dates of each step under the constraint.
To close it, simply click the arrow pointing to the right beside the Timeline View.
