Once Lookahead is generated, tasks for an activity can be created and managed.

The following steps guide you to Create Task Manually:

  • Click on the the activity bar in Lookahead and click Add Tasks

  • Enter the required details

  • Click Save to create a single task under the activity

Watch the video below to see how to create a single task:

Note:

Name of the Task

  • In the detailed view of an activity, under the Task Lists, there is a function to enable Task Prefix.

  • By using a Task Prefix, the tasks are better denoted to relate back to its parent Activity. For example, the first prefix can be used for a zone number that the task is in, and the second prefix for the level of a building.

  • Task prefix will be applied to every task created under that particular activity.

Task Start Date and Duration

  • The selected Start Date will be the start date for the Task.

  • Duration (number of Days) entered will decide the End Date of the Task.

  • The Start and End Dates of the Task will fall within the Start and End Dates of the Activity.

Sequence Number

  • Sequence number is the order of the tasks created for an activity.

Company and Supervisor in charge

  • Company in charge holds the responsibility for finishing the task. The assignee should be the Engineer in charge of the task from Main Contractor company, and the assigned company should be the Subcontractor company.

  • Supervisor has the complete control over the tasks which are assigned to him/her. Supervisor supervises the work and also has the authority to override the progress entered.

  • Only main contractor company members can be assigned as supervisors for the tasks.
