In the Lookahead, we can add dependencies between tasks falling under an activity. Task dependency is the relation between two tasks. Adding dependency on a task makes the task successor to another predecessor task, accordingly predecessor task's end date will be respected by the successor task.

Cross Dependency between the Tasks under different Activities can be added to show the relationship between both Tasks.

The following steps will guide you to add task dependencies. The process of adding Cross dependencies follow same steps:

  • Double click on the task bar in the Gantt chart. Under the Dependency List, click Add New Dependency

  • Select the type of relationship, activity name, task name, type of dependency and enter the Lag

  • Click Save

  • Repeat the process to add multiple dependencies

  • You can also add dependencies by drag-and-drop method by clicking the box of one activity/task to another's box.
