Understanding the dashboard

The dashboard for a particular week in a project in the Lean PlanDo Site app gives real-time and critical information regarding the status of work planned and being executed in a week.

The project name and the start and end dates of the current week are shown upfront in the dashboard so as to provide a context to the user. The CPR value (construct plan reliability) shows the ratio of number of tasks executed as per plan over the total planned tasks for the week.  Below this are 2 main widgets.

  1. Tasks

  2. Constraints

The tasks widget shows the number of tasks that are 100% completed out of the total number of tasks in the week. Right below the number of tasks "awaiting update" are shown. Any task that is planned to be executed for the current day or past days in the week but which is not updated is treated as an "awaiting update" task.

Right below the above information, tasks are categorised into "Delayed", "Ahead" and "On time". This gives an overall picture of whether the site work is going as per plan.

A task that has both base start date and base end date same as the actual start and end dates is considered as "On time". If its ends before the base end date and also takes the same or lesser duration than the base duration, then it is considered as "Ahead". Anything task which doesn't come under either "On time" or "Ahead" is considered as "Delayed" task. This means that either it started after base start date or finished after base end date or it took more time to complete compared to the base duration.

The constraint widget also shows upfront the number of constraints that are done out of the total constraints in the week. The constraints shown here are always the constraints assigned to the logged-in user. Below this information the number of constraints that are marked as "Done" and "Not Done" are shown.
