Say you have a masterplan with properly mapped elements from the BIM model. There will definitely be changes happening across both the master schedule and the BIM model, be it addition or deletion of activities or elements.

Lean PlanDo + BIM has a feature to help you stay up-do-date with these changes and quickly incorporate those changes into your schedule.

In this example, there are two elements linked to this particular activity. Say this activity has to be removed from the masterplan.

Now there will be two links that are lost or broken due to this removal of activity. You will be prompted of this information when you go into the Linking mode.

Click on this 'Fix Broken Links' to enter the Missing links menu. In the menu, there are two tabs; Activity/Task with missing elements and Elements with missing Activity/Task. Depending on the changes made, either to the masterplan or the BIM model, this will show the correct object which previously had a link, but none at the moment.

Now, you will be able to select the object with missing links to remap it to the activity or element from the updated model. Select on the objects that you want to map, and click 'Linked Selected'.

Now, you will be able to select a new activity that these elements are supposed to be linked to. Once you are done with the selection, click 'Done'.

Now, there will not be any missing links, and you have successfully updated your links between the new masterplan and BIM model.
