Create a Matter Template
Click Settings on the left-hand tab.
Click Matter Settings.
Click +Add Template.
In the text box, enter a template name.
Select Direct work or Referred work.
Add or Manage Referrers
To select an individual referrer, find their name in the list, then click +Add next to their name.
To add a new referrer, click +Add at the top of the list, complete their details, then save.
Use the Default Layout
If you want to keep the default layout for this matter template, skip any layout changes and go straight to configuring client tasks.
Continue from Choose Client Tasks for the Client Portal below.
Change the Layout from the Default
If you want to change the layout from the default:
Next to the relevant quote type, click Choose Layout.
On the required layout, click +Select.
Click Next step.
Choose Client Tasks for the Client Portal
In the task list, tick the Client Task checkbox next to each item you want to appear on the client portal.
Click Confirm.
π€ Tip: To reorder tasks, drag and drop them into the order you want, then continue.
Click Next step.
Select Layouts to Use
Next to each of the existing layouts you would like to use, click Select Layout.
For each selected layout, click +Select.
Click Next step.
Configure the Quote Layout and Save the Template
Review the Quote Layout, which is pre-set to use the default layout.
If you want to customise the quote layout:
Click Choose Layout.
Next to the required layout, click +Select.
Enter a name for the client template, then click Confirm.
Your matter template is now created and ready to use when setting up new matters.
