D3 Which currency will I pay in?

The shipping address of your order decides the currency. There is nothing to choose

Written by Elise

You pay in the currency of your order's shipping address. There is nothing to choose: the currency selector is gone, and the address decides.

Which currency for which address

  • Shipping to Canada: Canadian dollars (CAD).

  • Shipping to the United States: US dollars (USD).

  • Shipping to France: euros (EUR).

Portal orders ship only to Canada, the United States and France. For any other country, write to us at team@legaleriste.com before ordering.

Your card is charged in that currency.

Where you see the currency

  • In your bag: prices show in your open order's currency. The price grid title shows it, for example Price per unit, by quantity (USD).

  • Everywhere else (product pages, the Studio): prices show in your open order's currency, or in your account's currency when your bag is empty.

If your wallet is in another currency

Your wallet keeps separate balances in CAD, USD and EUR. When you pay, it is used automatically, even if the money is in another currency: we convert it. In step 3, the line then reads "… from your USD wallet (…)" (or CAD, or EUR), with the original amount in brackets.

Good to know

  • If you change the shipping address in step 2 to another country (for example, to ship to a customer, see D8), the currency switches to match it and the prices update before you pay.

  • If your card is in another currency, your bank may add its own conversion fee.

  • The Your prices page (Account menu → Manage Prices), where you set your storefront prices, shows all amounts in Canadian dollars, as it says at the top of the page.

  • Orders placed on the public Studio website (legaleriste.info) follow the Studio's own rules, not this one.
