C4 Managing your art: rename, replace, delete

Rename an artwork, set its style, technique and thread colour, replace its image, publish it or delete it.

Written by Elise

Your artworks are on the ART page. Each card lets you rename the art, set its style, technique and thread colour, replace its image with a better file, publish or unpublish it, download the original, or delete it. New art isn't added here: you upload it in the Studio.

Rename, style, technique and thread colour

  1. In the menu at the top, click ART.

  2. Find the artwork. You can type its name or code in Search by name or code.

  3. Click the pen next to its name (Edit name, style and thread).

  4. In Artwork details, change the Name, Style, Technique or Thread colour (black, grey or white).

  5. Click Save.

The style describes the look of your art (for example Abstract or Landscape); the technique is how you made it (for example Painting or Photography). The thread colour is the colour of the sewing thread; the Studio calls it "seam colour". Changes apply to your next orders, not to pieces already in production.

Replace the image with a better file

Use this when the file of an artwork has a problem (blurry, a spot, a reflection). Don't use it to put a different artwork in its place.

  1. Optional: click Download the original file to keep a copy of the current file.

  2. Click Replace image, then Choose the new file.

  3. Choose a JPG or PNG of at least 6 megapixels (for example 3000 × 2000 pixels).

Your pieces keep their design; new orders print the new file.

Publish or unpublish an artwork

Click the publish icon on the card, then Publish or Unpublish (Keep as is cancels). This shows or hides the artwork and every piece made from it on your storefront. It's the way to hide an artwork without deleting it. A faded card is not published.

Delete an artwork

  1. Click Delete on the card.

  2. Read the message: it also deletes every piece made from this artwork, and it can't be undone.

  3. Click Delete for good, or Keep it to cancel.

If a piece with this art is in your bag, the portal stops you: remove it from your bag first. Pieces you have already paid for are still made and shipped.

Good to know

  • See products shows every piece made with this art. Design in Studio opens the Studio with this art ready to use.

  • To add new art, open the STUDIO and click + (Upload new art). It appears on the ART page once you save or buy a piece with it. New art stays unpublished: publish it yourself when you're ready.
