An open order is a Wholesale order that contains products but hasn't been placed (paid) yet.
You open the order by selecting products under your "Products" section and selecting "Add to bag." The order status will remain "Open" until you actually place the order.
If you are not sure if an order has been placed or not, if there was a bug, for example, you can go to the "Orders" section and see its status.
