SOCIAL MEDIA ADS
The easiest and fastest way is to boost a post on your Facebook or Instagram page. The option is right on your artist page! You can choose the budget you want as well as the audience you want to reach (a particular city, an age group, people who like your page, etc.)
You can also invest more and create your advertising from scratch with Facebook's “Business Manager” tool. It will take you longer, but you also have more options.
With the results of those campaigns or ads, you can see which worked the best: which was clicked the most or which was viewed the most.
Testing different artworks, products and visuals will allow you to target the people that are “profitable” for you. It's a lot of work, but it can be very interesting for your collections and for the sale of your unique works of art.
MARKETS AND ARTISTIC EVENTS
To meet, discuss, see and touch the products, what a great experience! As much for you as for your customers, artistic events and Christmas or art markets give you a privileged window to promote yourself and to have comments on your collections.
In addition to making yourself known and creating a deeper connection, you can use these events to build a network of contacts, an email network (newsletter), and an addition to your social network. All forms of promotion come together to make a great whole that will certainly be useful to you!
These events of course cost money to be a part of them, and likely an additional cost for a larger table or racks, on top of your travel. It's up to you to decide how much investment you want to put into it, but this is a very interesting avenue for selling your art and art-derived products at the same time and investing your time to create this “circle” of possible promotions.
COCKTAIL PARTIES AND FASHION SHOW
Are you an organizer at heart? A cocktail party with friends, family, or fans is a great way to spark a keen interest in your art and create lasting memories for you and your guests.
Such an evening will also give you the opportunity to take pictures and use them for your other promotions. Your guests will also certainly want their photos taken for souvenirs, and, by the same token, showcase your art and your products!
Now is the time to practice your free promotion techniques with this event. Write down email addresses, take pictures, post your hashtag and send it all out as a newsletter! We're sure you will make some jealous ... and that your fans will regret missing out on this event! A good opportunity to do it again periodically.
If you have the motivation, you can create a runway show from your collection rather than a hanger demonstration. This avenue will take you more time and organization, but the result is superb!
