STEP 5: Support the Store
Congrats! Youâve done the hardest part! Getting out there and making a sale can be nerve-wracking and you did it brilliantly. There are some fun things you can do if you wish to support the store.
Get the word out!
Your boutique is going to get its shipment really soon (you know the date from taking the order). You can start to nurture this new collaboration.
Post on your social media to announce that {Name of the Boutique} is going to carry your wearable art line. Remember, itâs a collaboration. The more you help them, the more theyâll want to help you. Your fans might go to the store, discover it or pass the word themselves to their contacts.
Tag the boutique in your posts. They will get new fans and youâll get some new followers from their fanbase as well.
Write an email or phone people you know like what you do and live close by to the store. Someone asking for your products at the store will build momentum and get the boutique staff excited.
The boutique has received your goods. What do you do now?
Make a casual visit to the store. A week after receiving goods, go over to meet the staff. Share your story with them. It will get them involved and provide great selling points.
Propose a launch even if you feel up for it. For example, your store could go big and have a cocktail party or a fashion show. But we mostly suggest a âmeet the artistâ soirĂ©e.
Grab pictures. Pictures of your wearable art in the boutique are great for them and you . Whether you use it on your social media, on your website, in your newsletters, or for building a more outstanding catalog, you are sure to use them wisely and a lot.
A month after the order was shipped, chat with the buyer. You can ask for product feedback and if they need to replenish anything.
You can keep the story going by presenting a new collection in another month.
Meanwhile, you should take this Wholesale adventure to the next level If you enjoy this, and if you wish to get more stores, be sure to read the last article.
