[New] Installing the Word Add-in when Microsoft 365 permissions are centrally managed

Overview

If your organization centrally manages Microsoft 365 permissions — for example, through system administrators or your IT department — you may not be able to add the LegalOn Word Add-In directly from the Office Add-ins Store.

If you are using a centrally managed Microsoft 365 plan (such as Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, or Office 365 Enterprise E1/E3/E5/F3), please ask your system administrator to deploy the LegalOn Word Add-In to your organization following the steps below.

For details on whether your plan supports centralized deployment, refer to Determine if Centralized Deployment of add-ins works for your organization.

Once centralized deployment is complete, each user will be able to add and use the add-in.


Requirements

The LegalOn Word Add-In can be used only if the following version (build) and package requirements are met. If your environment does not meet these, you may not be able to add the add-in.

Microsoft Office Version

  • Windows: Version 2311 (Build 17029.20068) or later

  • macOS: Version 16.79 (23111019) or later

Microsoft Office Package

  • Microsoft 365 (latest version)

  • Retail: Office 2024 / Office 2021 (latest version)

  • Volume License: Office LTSC 2024 (latest version)


Steps for Microsoft 365 system administrators

1. Log in to Microsoft 365

Log in as a Microsoft 365 system administrator.

2. Deploy the Word Add-In organization-wide

  1. From the sidebar, go to [Settings] → [Integrated apps].

  2. Click [Get apps].

  3. Use the search bar to find “LegalOn”, then click [Get it now].

  4. Review the message that appears, then click [Get it now] again.

  5. Assign the users to deploy the add-in to, then click [Next].

  6. Review the deployment details and click [Next].

  7. Confirm the details and click [Finish deployment].

  8. Click [Done].

The LegalOn Word Add-In is now deployed organization-wide.

3. Instruct users to add the Add-In

Once deployment is complete, instruct each user to add the Word Add-In.

⚠️ Notes

It may take a few minutes up to 24 hours for the add-in to appear for all users. If users do not see the add-in immediately, please wait and check again.
