This article explains how to create and delete tabs in the matter list.
About Tabs
You can create a new tab by applying filters and saving them.
Tabs (views) let you organize and review matters by conditions like assignee or custom fields. This helps you and your team stay on top of work and manage matters more efficiently.

Create a New Tab
1. Open the [Matters] list.
2. Click [ + ] on the right side of the tabs. an [Untitled tab] will be created.
3. In the new [Untitled tab], click [Filter] and set your conditions.
4. Close the filter using [ x ], then click [Save This View].
Your new tab will appear at the right of the existing tabs.
You can rename the tab if needed. See “Edit tab name” below for details.
Save Filters as a New Tab
After applying filters, you can save them as a new tab.
1. Set the conditions for the tab using [Filter].
2. Close the filter using [ x ], then click [Save as new tab].
3. Enter a tab name, then click [Save].
💡Info:
Tabs you create are saved per user.
You can create up to 10 tabs.
Share a Tab You Created
Tabs you create can be shared with other Matter Management: Pro users.
When shared, a tab with the same filters will automatically appear for the recipient.
For the sender: Share a tab
1. Select the tab you want to share, then click [∨] → [Share].
When you click [Share], the tab URL is automatically copied.
⚠️ Note:
Do not edit the copied URL before sharing it. Changing the URL may affect the filter settings
For the recipient: Save a shared tab
1. Open the link you received, then click Save as new tab.
2. Enter a tab name, then click Save.
⚠️ Note:
If you leave the page or switch tabs without saving, the shared tab will no longer appear.
Change a Tab’s Filters
1. Select the tab you want to update.
2. Click [Filter], then update the conditions.
3. Close the filter using [ x ], then click [Save This View].
⚠️ Note:
If you refresh the page without clicking [Save This View], your changes will not be saved. After updating the filters, make sure to click [Save This View].
Once saved, you can’t restore the previous filter settings.
If you click + without saving, your current filters will be cleared.
Edit a Tab Name
1. Select the tab you want to rename, then click [∨] → Edit Name.
2. Update the name, then click [Save].
⚠️ Note:
The following preset tabs cannot be edited:
All
Assigned
Unassigned
Delete a Tab
1. Select the tab you want to delete, then click [∨] → Delete.
2. Review the confirmation message, then click [Delete].
⚠️ Note:
The following preset tabs cannot be edited:
All
Assigned
Unassigned
Deleted tabs cannot be restored.
💡 Info:
Deleting a tab from your Matters list does not affect shared tabs for other users.
Only the tabs you saved will be deleted.
Reorder Tabs
1. elect the tab you want to reorder, then click [∨] → [Sort tabs].
2. Drag and drop the tabs to rearrange them.
The tab at the top will appear on the far left of the list.
