Make sure the folder does not contain any files or subfolders.
You may not be able to delete a folder in the following cases:

In this case, there may be more than one cause. Please check the following steps in order.
1. Make sure it isn’t a workspace
You can’t delete workspaces. If you want to delete a workspace, an IT admin must first move it to a lower-level folder, following the steps in “Workspace management: Creation and editing by IT Administrators.” After that, it can be deleted.
2. Make sure the folder does not contain any subfolders
You cannot delete a folder if it contains subfolders.
An IT admin should check the Workspace settings page to confirm that no subfolders exist in the folder you want to delete.
If subfolders exist, move or delete them first by following these steps, then delete the target folder:
3. Make sure the folder does not contain any files
Check whether any files have been uploaded to the folder by following these steps:
■ Open [Vault] or [Templates]
① Open [Vault] or [My Templates] list.
② Open the folder you want to delete.
③ Confirm that no files have been uploaded.
■ Check “Other files”
① See “How to search files, clauses, matters” and open the list.
② In the Location filter, select the folder you want to delete.
③ Confirm that no files have been uploaded.
If files have been uploaded to the folder, move them to another location by following the steps in “How to Change the Workspace for Uploaded Contracts and My Templates.”
※ You cannot delete “Other Files” in bulk from the list. Delete them one by one by following the steps in “How to Change the Workspace for Uploaded Contracts and My Templates (Change from the File Detail Page).”
4. Make sure the folder does not contain any matters
Check whether any matters have been created in the folder by following the steps below.
① Open the All tab on the Matters list page.
② Set the following filters and confirm that no matters exist:
・ Locations: the folder you want to delete
If matters exist in the folder, move them to another folder by following the steps in “How to edit Matter information.”
