Understanding Template Libraries
Updated over a year ago

Purpose

This article provides a brief overview of LegalOn Templates and In-house Templates (collectively referred to as "Template Libraries"). We answer the following questions:

1. What are LegalOn Templates?

LegalOn Templates are downloadable templates that LegalOn has created to assist you in your contract creation, review, comparison, and iteration processes. You can also use our Search feature to search for clauses or provisions across the entire library.

We provide templates across a vast array of contract types. Examples include:

  • Consulting Services Agreement

  • Copyright Licensing Agreement

  • Distribution Agreement

  • Joint Research and Development Agreement

  • Manufacturing and Supply Agreement

  • Master Sale of Goods Agreement

  • Master Sales and Service Agreement

  • Master Services Agreement

  • Memorandum of Understanding

  • Non-Disclosure Agreement

  • Patent and Know-How Licensing Agreement

  • Patent Licensing Agreement

  • SaaS Terms of Service Agreement

  • Shareholders' Agreement

  • Software Development Agreement

  • Software Licensing Agreement

  • Software Support Services Agreement

  • Stock Purchase Agreement

  • Trademark Licensing Agreement

For more information about these contract types (and how they may be useful to you), visit "LegalOn Template Library: Contract List"

2. What are In-house Templates?

In-house Templates refer to templates uploaded by your organization. We created the In-House Template Library to give your organization a centralized repository where you can easily locate your files via file name.

In-house Templates are compatible with both our Search and Compare features.

3. How do I locate the Template Libraries?

Locating the template libraries is easy. Look for the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen after logging in. You'll find two separate tabs there: "In-house templates" and "LegalOn templates."
