System Requirements for Using LegalOn


Overview

LegalOn is accessible via:

  • Web browser (LegalOn web application)

  • Microsoft Word Add-in (LegalOn Contract AI)

System requirements depend on how you access the platform.


Option 1: Using LegalOn in Microsoft Word

LegalOn offers a Microsoft Word add-in that enables contract review, redlining, drafting, and AI analysis directly within Word.

Microsoft Word Requirements

  • Microsoft Word 2016 or later

  • Microsoft 365 (any plan that supports Office Add-ins)

  • Word must support Office Add-ins (AppSource)

Supported environments:

  • Word for Windows

  • Word for macOS

  • Word for the Web (Office Online)

Note: Most current Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise subscriptions support Office Add-ins.


Supported Operating Systems (Word Integration)

LegalOn supports operating systems compatible with the required versions of Microsoft Word:

Windows

  • Windows 10 or later

  • Windows 11

macOS

  • macOS versions supported by Word 2016 or later

Browser (Word Online)

  • Latest version of:

    • Microsoft Edge

    • Google Chrome

    • Safari

    • Mozilla Firefox


Option 2: Using the LegalOn Web Application

LegalOn can be accessed directly through a web browser without installing the Word add-in.

Browser Requirements

Use the most recent version of:

  • Google Chrome (recommended)

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Safari

  • Mozilla Firefox

Operating System Requirements

Any operating system capable of running a modern, supported browser, including:

  • Windows

  • macOS

  • Linux


Additional Notes

  • An active LegalOn account and internet connection are required.

  • Some organizations may require IT approval to install Office Add-ins.

  • For optimal performance, we recommend keeping Microsoft Office and your browser updated to the latest version.
