Purpose

To review or edit a contract in PDF format in LegalOn, you'll first need to convert the file into .docx format. This article offers a step-by-step guide that helps you understand the conversion process.

1. How to convert a PDF and start review

Step 1: Open the Dashboard or My Templates

Step 2: Click on a PDF file you'd like to review or edit

Step 3: Click [Review] at the top right corner of the Preview screen

Step 4: Click [Convert] located inside the Review pane

After the conversion is done, a message saying [Conversion to .docx completed] will appear at the bottom of your screen. Note that the converted file will appear in the version family on the left (under the "+" button) and will be saved as the latest version of the original file.

Step 5: Click [Start review] to review the contract

2. File Requirements

LegalOn can convert a file into .docx format if the following conditions are met:

Paper size: A4, B5, A3
File resolution when using a scanner: 200dpi or higher
File size: 10MB or less

⚠️ When you convert a scanned PDF document into .docx using LegalOn, the content in the converted file may be different from the original PDF. We recommend double checking before proceeding to review.
