The My Matters page in Legatics consolidates all matters you've been invited to in the instance, providing a centralized location for efficient management. This guide outlines how to navigate to this page, utilize its features, and understand the visibility of matters across different instances.
Important: Legatics has multiple instances, which have different URLs. Matters aren't visible across instances. Make sure you've logged into the correct instance.
Accessing the "My Matters" page
The Matters icon is at the top of the left-hand navigation menu, above Templates and Admin.
Hover over the Matters icon to open the Matters menu. From here you can:
Create matter: start a new matter
Open: view live matters with a status of open
On hold: view live matters with a status of on hold
Closed: view live matters with a status of closed
Demo: view your demo matters
Understanding matter visibility
You will see all matters stored in the instance that you've been invited to participate in.
Tip: To find matters faster, they're separated into views in the Matters menu: live matters are grouped by status (open, on hold and closed), and demo matters have their own view. You can also search for a matter, or sort on the data.
Finding on hold and closed matters
By default, the My Matters page shows your open live matters. Live matters with a status of on hold or closed are kept in separate views.
To find them:
Hover over the Matters icon at the top of the left-hand navigation menu
The Matters menu will open
Select On hold or Closed to see matters with that status
Heads-up: Any matter admin can change a matter's status. If a matter has disappeared from your open matters, it's likely been moved to on hold or closed. Check those views first.
Data about matters
You'll see the following information about each matter.
Name | Name of the matter |
Description | Provides a brief overview or context for the matter to understand it at a glance |
Host | The organization who hosts the matter |
Created on | Date matter was created |
Last activity | Date there was last activity on the matter |
