How to Add a Virtual Assistant as a Sub User on Your Legiit Account

Managing a Legiit account alongside a team or virtual assistant is simple with the Sub User feature. You can grant controlled access to helpers, assistants, or team members without giving up your login credentials or full account control.

This guide walks you through everything you need to know.

What Is a Sub User on Legiit?

A sub user is a separate account that is connected to your main Legiit account. Sub users can be given specific permissions based on what you want them to do on your behalf. You stay in full control of the parent account at all times.

Every Legiit account includes up to 10 sub user slots at no extra cost.

How to Add a Sub User

  1. Log in to your Legiit account.

  2. Navigate to your account settings.

  3. Find the Sub Users section. (Or at this direct link https://legiit.com/sub-users)

  4. Click the option to create a new sub user.

  5. Enter the sub user's name and email address and set up their password.

  6. Choose the permissions you want to assign (see below).

  7. Save the sub user profile.

The sub user will receive login credentials for their account. Only the parent account holder can change a sub user's password. If the sub user ever needs a password reset, they must contact you directly. To update a sub user's password, locate their profile and click the lock icon.

Customizable Permissions for Each Sub User

One of the most useful parts of the sub user system is that permissions are fully customizable per user. You can allow or restrict each of the following:

Make Purchases You can allow the sub user to make purchases on your behalf. When this is enabled, you can also set a monthly spending budget to keep costs in check.

Use Wallet Funds You control whether the sub user can spend from your Legiit wallet balance.

Start an Order You can allow or restrict the sub user's ability to initiate new orders.

Communicate with a Seller You can decide whether the sub user can send messages to sellers on active orders.

Request a Revision You can allow or restrict the sub user from submitting revision requests on orders.

File a Dispute You can choose whether the sub user has the ability to open a dispute on an order.

Can a Sub User Also Sell Services?

Yes. When setting up a sub user, you have the option to allow them to sell services on your behalf through your Legiit account. This is especially useful for agencies or account managers who want a team member handling fulfillment or listings.

Password and Security

The parent account is the only account with the ability to change a sub user's password. Sub users cannot reset their own passwords independently. If a sub user is locked out or needs a new password, they should reach out to you as the main account holder.

To update a password:

  1. Go to your Sub Users section in account settings.

  2. Find the sub user whose password needs updating.

  3. Click the lock icon next to their profile.

  4. Set the new password and save.
