Where can I best provide my expertise/perspective?
Add your insights
Include your unique expertise, tips, or examples where relevant. These can be written entirely in your own voice.
*Lean into your background and credentials where it makes sense. In the example below, see two of the edits made to this article by a coach. They build a ton of trust with the customer by leaning into her background as a former HBS AdCom and call out what is specifically her “expert tip.”
🌟 Examples:
*Great credibility building: “As a former Harvard Business School admissions committee member who reviewed thousands of applications, I’ve seen…”
Feel free to share actionable advice, anecdotes, or key takeaways that showcase your experience in the subject area. “I” statements can be a powerful tool here for building crediblity and showing your expertise. They also make the article feel more personal and akin to a coach relationship.
Adjust information that could be clearer, more accurate, or more nuanced based on your expertise.
Add any missing but important details that you think would strengthen the article.

FAQs
If you would like to add, change, or remove significant parts of the article in order to make it more accurate, personalized to your style, comprehensive, etc., that is fine. Note that there may be SEO implications in the changes you make which can affect traffic levels; reach out to Amelia (amelia@joinleland.com) if you have any questions.
What Not to Do
Don’t add marketing language
Keep your contributions educational and informative rather than promotional. By reviewing the article, you receive the byline and your profile is linked at the top of the page. We’ve found that too much sales-y language on top of that cheapens the tone and makes conversion less likely.
You don’t need to overhaul the writing style
Your welcome to make as many changes to the piece as you’d like in order to make it look and feel like your article. Depending on the topic and your background, some articles will be really strong and only require a couple of tweaks/additions. Others may requisite a bigger edit. This is where your expertise comes into play, use your judgement!
→ Note: This should not take too long, 30-45 min. maximum. Ideally, you’re doing a quick review for quality and adding in a couple of anecdotes/tips. We want to help you distribute your expertise effectively while making the most of your time and optimizing for traffic.
Submission
After you submit your edits, one of our editors will review the changes to ensure they align with the article’s goals and standards. Once approved, we will re-publish the article and give you the byline as the primary author (we’ll notify you when it goes live).
One final reminder: Once you’ve reviewed the article, it becomes yours. It will appear on your coach profile and be a direct reflection to customers of your knowledge and coaching potential. Keep this in mind as you’re going through the edits.
We’re super excited to help you monetize your expertise and get your coach profile in front of as many people as possible. These SEO articles are an excellent way to build your brand and open your coaching funnel. Please reach out to Amelia in the Coach Slack or email (amelia@joinleland.com) if you have any questions.

What do I do if I feel like something in the article is wrong or misleading?
We aim to maintain a high quality bar for all our content but, occasionally, we make mistakes or miss things! If you find what you believe to be an error, propose a change to fix it as part of your edits. If possible, add a comment(s) underneath the proposed edit so we can better understand what is wrong; this helps us prevent any similar misinformation in future articles.
Can I add custom images, graphics, tables, etc. to my article?
