Uploading Documents
Users with content creation permissions can upload documents to Lessonly via the lesson builder. Click Add Element, then select Document from the list.
Next, select Choose a Document, Presentation or PDF to Upload. Select the files from your device or drag and drop them into the upload interface. You can also upload a document from a URL.
Congratulations! ๐ You're ready to enhance a lesson with documents.
Downloading Documents
The document element is ideally suited for situations when learners want to use documents outside of Lessonly. To download documents in their original format, click Download Original File below the document frame.
๐ก Note: As of this writing it's not possible to restrict users from downloading embedded documents.
Notes and Best Practices
Other than rotating a document clockwise or counterclockwise (90ยฐ at a time), there are no edit options within the document viewer. To edit a document, revise the original copy outside of Lessonly then re-upload the new version.
The document element will only accept files sized 50MB or smaller.
Before uploading a PowerPoint presentation you must convert the PPT file to PDF format. Otherwise, the slides won't display when the lesson is published.
Want to embed Google Docs and Sheets? Read this article to learn how.
