About this task
Audio content can help model skills, demonstrate real-life examples, and evoke emotions, making lessons more memorable. Adding various sensory channels to lessons, such as audio content, improves learners' knowledge retention by increasing their focus and comprehension.
Prerequisites
You must have permission to create and edit content.
Procedure
In the lesson builder, select Add Element > Audio.
If you want to make a new recording:
Select Record Audio.
Wait for the countdown timer to end and then start recording.Use the level meter in the recording dialog to ensure that your volume is neither too high nor too low.
Select Finish Recording when you're done, or select Cancel to start over.
Optional: Select Edit to launch the audio editor.Use the editor to trim your recording. You can also create a cover image by adding text, emoji, or callouts.
Optional: Select Preview to play back your recording.
Select Submit when you're done editing.
If you want to upload a preexisting audio file:
Drag and drop the file into the audio element, or select Upload Audio and then locate the file on your computer.The following file formats are supported: ACC, AIFF, FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, and WMA.
Wait for the file to finish processing.
Optional: Use the editor to trim the file or create a cover image.
Select Submit when you're finished, or select Cancel to start over.
Optional: Select Add Caption to write a brief description of the recording and its contents.
Troubleshooting
Select Try Again if you're dissatisfied with a recording after submitting it. This resets the audio element.
