What Is an Allowlist?

Allowlisting (formerly known as whitelisting) refers to links or URLs that need to be identified in order to load on a specific network.

An allowlist is a list of e-mail addresses or domain names from which an e-mail blocking program allows messages to be received. These email blocking systems are also known as Spam Filters and prevent most unsolicited e-mail messages from arriving in an inbox. The allowlist option is a solution to ensure that important messages are not marked as spam.
