About This Feature

Repeatable practice elements allow learners to:

  • Record, upload, save or delete multiple attempts when recording practice questions.

  • Continue to record, upload, save, or delete question responses once a question has been submitted.

  • Use previously recorded, uploaded, and saved attempts for future lessons with the same question.

How to Submit Recordings

On the "Record" tab users can record or upload their response by selecting "Record Video" or "Record Audio." They can then begin recording their response, and once finished > select "Submit."

Users who have recorded previous responses can view all responses under the "My Response" tab.

Upon completing a recording, the user is automatically navigated to the "My Responses" tab.

Learners can select "Practice Again" or select to navigate back to the "Record" tab to make another recording attempt.

As the learner records additional attempts, the "My Responses" tab saves and displays each previous recording.

How to Submit Previously Recorded Response(s)

To submit a previous recording select the toggle button to the left of the version. The most recent version by default, is auto-selected.

Important Note:

Unsubmitted responses cannot be accessed by admins, managers, creators, graders, or users with people permissions. User can view all of their recording attempts.

If a user re-takes or is re-assinged a lesson containing a recording practice question, any previous recordings are available for the user to choose from.

How to View Submitted Responses

Once a recording has been selected and the lesson has been submitted, the submitted recording will display with a submitted date. A previously submitted recording cannot be selected or submitted for future lessons.

How to Delete Recordings

To delete a recording select the trash can icon to the left of the version.
โ€‹

Selecting the trash can icon populates a module prompting the user to either select "Delete" or "Cancel."

Deleting a recording removes the recorded response from "My Responses." Once deleted there is not a way to retrieve this video again.

Recording Limit

Users can upload a maximum of ten response attempts per recording question. On the user's ninth recording, a warning message displays. This recording limit applies to all recording questions.

On the tenth recording, the user will be unable to record another attempt and is prompted to delete a recording before they can continue.

Share Non-Graded Recordings for Feedback

For non-graded recordings, users have the option to share their recording to peers for feedback purposes.

A module below the recording titled "Want Feedback?" provides a URL of the video to be copied and sent to teammates. When sharing this URL, the teammate is only able to access the recording.
