Seismic's First Wave beta program brings customers into the product development process. First Wave members get exclusive access to the latest Seismic Learning features. In turn, we gain valuable insight into the way features work or don't. Your feedback helps us make Learning even better.

Becoming a Member

To become a member you must (a) be an account admin, and (b) complete this sign-up form. Once we receive and process your form, you'll be entitled to the benefits of the First Wave program: bragging rights, yes, but more importantly access to beta features in active development.

Note: Account Managers and Customer Success Managers cannot complete the sign-up form on a customer's behalf.

Gaining Access to Beta Features

When customers become First Wave members, all features in early access (EA) testing that correspond to their subscription package are enabled. Customers needn't submit a fresh sign-up form for each new EA feature; First Wave members automatically gain access as each feature is released.

Being a Member

  • As a member of the First Wave beta program, you may be contacted by product managers to provide feedback on EA features.

  • Product managers may invite you to join limited (aka pilot) releases. Pilots precede EA releases.

  • Members may also be invited to participate in interviews or focus groups about new product concepts.

  • Members aren't notified about each and every EA feature. New EA releases are communicated through Seismic Learning's monthly newsletter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Once beta features have been enabled, do all users in a tenant have access to them?

A: Yes. Only account admins can enroll in the First Wave program, but all users in the admin's tenant will gain access to new features as they are released.

Q. Can I try beta features before electing to enable them?

A: We're not able to support 'test drives' at this time.

Q. Do I need to submit a sign-up form for each new feature?

A: No. As long as your Seismic Learning package includes a given feature it will be enabled at the time of its EA release.

Q. I don't want to be a First Wave member anymore.

A: No problem! Complete this unsubscribe form. After you've submitted the form all EA features in your tenant will be disabled.

Q. Is it risky to use beta features?

A. All EA features undergo rigorous quality assurance testing before they're released to First Wave participants. EA features present the same amount of risk as GA features, which is to say a low amount.

Q. Are EA features representative of their GA counterparts?

A. EA features may evolve before being released to GA. In other words, features may change even as First Wave users are testing them.
