With LessonUp’s AI tools, you can create lesson materials faster, easier, and more efficiently. These tools are now directly available in the new lesson editor, meaning you can use them while building your lesson without ever leaving the editor.
What's new?
Previously, the AI tools were only accessible via a separate page within LessonUp. Now, they’re integrated directly into the (new) lesson editor. This means you can instantly rewrite, summarise, or translate text, and generate images for your slides as you create or update your lesson. There's no need to use a second screen or external AI platform anymore.

Where can I find the AI tools?
You’ll find the AI tools in the new lesson editor. To open it, go to 'My LessonUp' and click the blue 'New lesson' button.
You’ll then see a screen like the one below. Under the green section ‘New lesson editor’, click 'Blank lesson'.
There are two ways to access the AI tools:
Via a text component on a slide
Click on a text block in your slide, then select “Edit with AI”.
Via the AI sidebar
Click on the AI icon on the right side of the screen. This opens the AI tools sidebar, where you can access all tools. You can choose to add the result to an existing slide, or let it generate a brand-new slide.
What can you do with the AI tools?
From within the new lesson editor, you can:
Summarise text – Turn long passages into clear, concise summaries.
Rewrite text – Adjust the tone or difficulty level of your text.
Translate text – Instantly translate your content into another language, such as English or French.
Generate images – Create AI-generated visuals based on your own prompts.
Create debate topics – Generate thought-provoking statements for class discussions.
Build a glossary – Select text and generate key terms with definitions.
