Signup links

Find your signup link, add UTM tracking, and see which channel each new business came from.

Written by Kaylan Pepin

Every account comes with a unique sign-up link you can share anywhere: your website, email signature, social profiles, partner pages, or ad campaigns. When someone clicks your link and signs up, they are connected directly to your account. UTM tracking lets you create a separate link for every channel, so you can see which channel each sign-up came through.

Click through the walkthrough above to see the whole flow, then follow the steps below.

Step-by-step: how to find and use your sign-up link

Step 1: Go to Businesses in the sidebar

From your dashboard, click Businesses in the sidebar. This is where your client businesses are managed and where your sign-up link lives.

Step 2: Click Share Sign Up Link

In the top right corner, click Share Sign Up Link. This opens your unique sign-up link, the link that is tied directly to your account.

Step 3: Copy your link

Copy the link and start sharing it. Put it wherever your clients and prospects will find it:

  • Your website

  • Email signature

  • Social media profiles

  • Partner pages

  • Ad campaigns

  • Landing pages

Anyone who signs up through your link is connected to your account automatically.

Step 4: Add UTM tracking (optional)

Want to know which channel each sign-up came from? Use Advanced Settings to add UTM tracking parameters to your link. You can create a separate tracked link for every channel you use.

The three tracking parameters are:

  • Source. Tags who sent the referral. Use a partner name, a website, a specific page, or any identifier that tells you where the sign-up originated.

  • Medium. Tracks the channel. Examples: email, social, landing page, ad campaign.

  • Campaign Name. Ties the sign-up to a specific push or initiative. Examples: winter-2025, website-footer, partner-launch.

Step 5: Copy and share your tracked link

Once your UTM parameters are set, copy the tracked link and share it on the channel it is built for. Create a separate tracked link for each channel, such as website, email signature, social and partner pages, so every sign-up is attributed correctly.

Why use sign-up links

  • Simple client onboarding. Clients click your link and sign up directly, with no manual invitation for every new prospect.

  • Attribution by link. Source, medium and campaign tell you which link a sign-up came through. You get attribution at the deal level, not click-level analytics.

  • A link for every channel you use. Your website footer, email signature, and LinkedIn profile can each have their own link, all connected to your account.

  • Partner tracking. Working with referral partners? Give each partner their own tracked link so you can see how many sign-ups they send.

Tips for using sign-up links

  • Create a unique link for every channel. Do not use the same link everywhere. If you do, you will not be able to tell where your sign-ups are coming from.

  • Use consistent naming conventions. For campaign names and sources, stick to a consistent format, for example all lowercase with hyphens instead of spaces, so your tracking data is easy to read.

  • Add it to your email signature. Your email signature is one of the easiest and most consistent places to drive sign-ups, and it goes out with every email you send.

Common questions

Q: Do I need to use UTM tracking?
A: No. UTM tracking is optional. Your basic sign-up link works without it. UTM parameters are for when you want to see which channel or campaign a sign-up came through.

Q: Can I create more than one tracked link?
A: Yes. You can create a tracked link for each channel or campaign. Each one connects to your account the same way, just with different tracking parameters.

Q: What is the difference between Source, Medium, and Campaign Name?
A: Source identifies where the traffic came from, such as a partner name or website. Medium identifies the channel, such as email or social. Campaign Name ties it to a specific initiative, such as winter-2025 or website-footer.

Q: Where can I see my sign-up data?
A: Sign-ups that come through your link appear against your account. If you are not sure where to find the attribution for a specific sign-up, email contact@levr.ai and we will point you at the right screen.
