About Levr.ai
Q: What is Levr.ai?
Levr.ai is an all in one operating system for business loan brokers. Think of it as the platform that connects you, the broker, to lenders. It handles applications, matchmaking, submissions, deal tracking, and even commission collection. We built it because we lived the frustrations ourselves. We were directing traffic more than adding real value, and we wanted a tool that would actually change the way brokers work. Levr is that tool.
Q: How does Levr.ai work with lenders?
Levr.ai partners with 50+ small business lenders to power the application process for thousands of business clients supported by their trusted brokers. We've gathered feedback from both lenders and brokers to create a platform that serves both sides of the transaction. Many lenders only accept broker applications through Levr, giving you exclusive access to financing options your competitors can't offer and these partnership benefits flow through to you.
Q: How does Levr.ai close tech gaps for business loan brokers?
Levr bridges the gap between what brokers need and what traditional lender technology doesn't provide. Instead of logging into dozens of portals, chasing lender updates, or manually tracking commissions, brokers can manage the entire loan process in one AI powered platform. From smart lender matching to automated submission and real time deal tracking, Levr gives you the tools to compete with speed, efficiency, and transparency without the overhead of traditional broker operations.
Q: Why is Levr.ai a recommended software solution for brokers and lenders?
Levr.ai is built by lenders for lenders and brokers. Our co founder Kaylan Pepin and founding team members have decades of experience working in the lending industry at some of North America's biggest banks, including RBC Royal Bank of Canada, CIBC, and Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). We have first hand experience with broker pain points and lender challenges, and we're invested in creating better business lending software solutions that serve both sides effectively.
Q: Who built Levr.ai and how big is the team?
Levr was built by Kaylan Pepin, a chartered accountant with a banking background who was frustrated with how clunky and manual the brokering process was. The team is lean. Just five people total. Four software engineers with a heavy AI focus and Kaylan handling sales and product. Small team, big output. And that matters because when you reach out to us, you're talking to the people who actually built the platform.
Q: Where is Levr.ai based?
The team is based out of Palo Alto, California (Silicon Valley) with roots in Colorado and Canada. Kaylan is originally Canadian, from Edmonton and Vancouver, so there's a strong cross border understanding of both the U.S. and Canadian lending markets built right into the DNA of the product.
Q: Is Levr.ai a brokerage?
No, and this is a really important distinction. Levr.ai is a software company, not a brokerage. We don't compete with you. We give you the tools to run your own brokerage. We don't take commission splits. We don't broker deals ourselves. We made a deliberate internal decision that we want to be the software you use, not a competitor eating into your earnings.
Q: What makes Levr different from competitors?
A few big things. First, the platform is free for brokers and you keep 100% commissions. Most competitors take a split, sometimes as high as 50%. We don't take a penny of your commissions. Second, we're a true software platform, not a brokerage pretending to be tech. We don't compete with you for deals. Third, the AI agent is deeply integrated into everything you do, from matchmaking to credit memos to navigating the platform itself. Fourth, we handle commission collection for you at no extra cost. And fifth, many of our lenders exclusively accept submissions through Levr, which gives you access your competitors don't have.
Q: How many brokers are currently using Levr?
We have over 150 brokers on the platform, ranging from solo operators and small two person shops all the way up to five super brokerages with larger teams. We see 10 to 15 applications moving through the system every day. The platform is actively being used and we're growing consistently month over month.
Q: Does Levr.ai integrate with existing tech stack systems?
Yes, Levr.ai is built to sit in front of firewalls and seamlessly integrate with existing tools, reducing duplication and improving your team's efficiency and workflows. Levr.ai is the missing piece that enhances your application intake processes to improve the experience for both you and your clients. If you have questions about specific integrations or customizations, please reach out to our sales team for a consultation.
Q: What is the primary value offered by Levr.ai's application intake software?
When you offer a better, faster experience for your clients, they're more likely to do business with you. They're more engaged in providing the data needed to assess and fund their business, they stay on top of communication throughout the application process, and they're more likely to refer others. This improves loan closing conversion rates and reduces the time from application to funding. For brokers, Levr's AI automation means you can handle 3 to 5 times more deals with the same team while maintaining or improving service quality. Lenders are hard to manage and don't let just anyone submit. With Levr you unlock lenders you may not know and we manage the hard part of the partnership.
Pricing & Plans
Q: How much does Levr.ai cost?
Levr is free for brokers. There is no monthly subscription and no setup fee. You get full access to everything you need: the AI agent, lender matchmaking, deal management, and commission collection, all at no cost. And because you keep 100% of your commissions, every funded deal is pure upside. The only optional costs are bespoke add-ons like custom API integrations or white-labeling, which are one-time setups you would only pay for if you specifically want them.
Q: What if I want to add more people to my team?
You can add your whole team for free. Levr is free for brokers with no per-seat charge, so every broker you work with can have their own account and login at no cost. Whether it's just you and one other person or a larger group, there's no extra fee for adding seats.
Q: Do you have plans for larger brokerages?
Yes, and the platform is free for brokers no matter your size. We work with everyone from solo operators to super brokerages with 20 to 25 or more brokers, and they all get full access at no cost, with the whole team added for free. If you're at that scale and want bespoke setups like custom API integrations or white-labeling, those are optional one-time add-ons, so just reach out and we'll tailor something that fits your operation.
Q: Do you take a commission split on my deals?
Not a penny. You keep everything you earn. We're a software platform, not a brokerage, so we never take a cut of your commissions. Some of our competitors do splits, and on a $5,000 to $10,000 commission a 50/50 split means you're giving up thousands of dollars per deal. That math just doesn't sit right with us. We want to supercharge your business, not take a piece of it.
Q: If the platform is free, is there any catch?
No catch. Levr is genuinely free for brokers: no subscription, no setup fee, no per-seat charge, and no commission split. We're able to do this because we're supported on the lender side of the marketplace, not by charging you. You get full access and keep 100% of your commissions. The only things that ever carry a cost are optional bespoke add-ons like custom integrations or white-labeling, which are entirely up to you.
Q: Is there a contract or can I cancel anytime?
There's no contract and nothing locking you in, because Levr is free for brokers. There's no monthly fee and no commitment. That said, the brokers who get the most out of Levr give it a genuine three to four month run to build their pipeline and get into a rhythm, so we always recommend committing to the process even though there's no cost holding you to it. If you ever feel unsure, talk to us. A lot of the time, brokers who feel uncertain early on just need a little more hands on guidance or help working through their first deal.
Q: Is there a free trial or demo account I can try before committing?
There's nothing to try before committing, because Levr is free for brokers. You can sign up at levr.ai and get full access at no cost. We also offer live demos where we walk you through the entire platform, and once you sign up we do a full onboarding session, including working through your first deal with you live, so you hit the ground running.
Getting Started
Q: How do I sign up?
Just head to levr.ai and sign up. It's free for brokers. Once you're in, we'll jump on a call with you to help you set everything up. Your profile, your logo, your website integration, your custom links, all of it. You won't be left figuring things out on your own.
Q: How long does it take to ramp up?
We recommend planning for a three to four month ramp up period. Things tend to go slower than you'd expect when you're getting into the flow of a new platform and building your pipeline. We've seen people start and stop too early without giving it a real shot. Commit to at least three to four months and you'll start seeing results.
Q: What should I be doing during the ramp up period?
Great question. The first month is about learning the platform and getting your profile, branding, and application set up. Use the onboarding sessions and tutorials to get comfortable. Month two is about building your pipeline. Start talking to your network, share your referral links, and get your first few applications in the system. Month three is when things start to click. You'll have applications moving, matchmaking running, and ideally your first submissions going out. By month four, you should be in a rhythm where new leads are coming in consistently and deals are progressing through the pipeline. The key is to stay active and not let the momentum drop.
Q: Is there an onboarding process?
Yes! We do a full onboarding session where we walk you through the entire platform. Your onboarding is handled by our team directly. Shane, one of our team members, typically runs these sessions and will walk you through everything step by step. He'll help you set up your profile, configure your application, and even work through your first deal with you live. It's very hands on and personalized. You're not watching a generic webinar. You're getting real, one on one support. There's a bit of a learning curve and that's completely normal, but we're available for questions the whole way through. We also have tutorials and guides inside the platform to back you up between sessions.
Q: Do I need technical experience to use Levr.ai?
Not at all! Levr.ai is designed to be intuitive and user friendly. Most brokers are up and running within 24 to 48 hours of onboarding. We provide comprehensive training, video tutorials, and dedicated support to help you get started. Our AI automation handles the complex technical aspects, so you can focus on what you do best: building relationships and closing deals.
Q: Is there an e-book or guide for new brokers?
Yes! If you head to levr.ai, there should be a popup offering a free e-book download. It's about 20 pages and was written by the Levr team. It's basically a playbook for getting into the brokering space. It covers a lot of the interesting things you'll encounter, like the fact that as a finance professional you'll often end up being more of a therapist for your clients than you'd expect. It's a really helpful read, especially if you're newer to the industry.
Q: Is there anything to pay or a plan to choose when I start?
No. There's just one simple answer: sign up, it's free. Levr is free for brokers with full access, so there's no plan to compare and nothing to upgrade. You get the AI agent, lender matchmaking, deal management, and commission collection from day one at no cost. We'll always guide you on how to get the most out of the platform for where your business is right now.
Q: Do I need a license to broker business loans?
This depends on where you're located. In many U.S. states, business loan brokering does not require a specific license the way mortgage brokering does, but some states do have requirements, and regulations are evolving. In Canada, the rules vary by province as well. We always recommend checking your local and state or provincial regulations before getting started. Levr is a software platform and does not provide legal or compliance advice, but our e-book and onboarding materials cover some of the basics to help point you in the right direction.
Q: Do I need to incorporate or have a business entity to use Levr?
You don't need a formal business entity to sign up and start using Levr. Many of our brokers start as sole proprietors or independent contractors. However, as your brokering business grows, having a proper business entity (like an LLC) can help with liability protection, taxes, and professional credibility. It's worth talking to an accountant or business advisor about the right structure for your situation.
Platform Features
Q: What is the AI agent and what can it do?
The AI agent is like your personal assistant that lives inside the platform. It reads through all of your deals, applications, and client data, and you can ask it anything. Some examples: "Have any of my deals funded recently?" "Which lender pays the highest commission?" "Can you draft me a three paragraph credit memo to send to a lender?" "My client wants to know why they didn't match with this lender." This is absolute gold, especially for new brokers who are still learning the ropes. The more data you have in the system, the smarter and more useful it gets. As your deal history grows, the AI gives you sharper recommendations, more accurate matchmaking, and more useful summaries. It also improves on our end as we ship updates and refine the models. You'll notice it getting more helpful the longer you use the platform.
Q: Can the AI help me figure out which lender is the best fit?
Yes! When you're looking at your matched lenders for a deal, you can ask the AI something like "Which is the strongest fit?" and it'll break down exactly why. It considers things like geographic fit, minimum requirements, industry match, and use case alignment. It gives you a clear picture so you can make an informed decision rather than guessing.
Q: Can the AI write credit memos for me?
Absolutely. You can tell it something like "For ABC Company, can you write me a two to three paragraph credit memo that I'd like to send to a lender explaining X, Y, Z?" and it'll draft it for you. It's a massive time saver, especially when you're juggling multiple deals at once.
Q: Can the AI help me navigate the software?
Yes! If you're ever lost, just ask. You can type things like "Where do I find my deals?" or "How do I submit an application?" and it'll walk you through it step by step. Think of it as a built in help desk that actually understands what you're asking.
Q: Can the AI explain why a client was declined by a lender?
Yes. If your client gets declined or doesn't match with a certain lender, you can ask the AI to explain why. It will look at the application data and the lender's criteria and give you a clear explanation. This is incredibly helpful for client conversations because instead of guessing or sounding unsure, you can give your client a specific, informed answer about what didn't fit and what their options are going forward.
Applications & Client Onboarding
Q: How do clients fill out applications?
There are three ways to get a business into the system. First, you can put a signup link on your website. When they click it, they see your logo and name, and they fill out the application directly. Second, you can share a referral code with partners like mortgage brokers, accountants, or other contacts, and they can send people your way. Third, if you already have a client's info (maybe you've been working with them for a while), you can just create the business yourself and start filling things out on their behalf.
Q: Can I customize the application to match what I already use?
Yes! We can put your logo and brand front and center, allowing you to customize the Levr.ai platform for your clients. If you have an existing PDF application that you like, just send it to us and we'll match our application to it. If you don't have one, you can use our generic application. Either way, it's going to be branded with your name and identity. We work with you to ensure your Levr.ai workspace is an extension of your brand, from colors and logos to custom domain names and white labeled client portals. Your clients should see you, not our logo.
Q: Can clients add other people to help with the application?
Definitely. They can invite their spouse, co founder, accountant, or anyone who might be able to help them fill things out. It's a collaborative process, which makes things go a lot faster and helps avoid those situations where the application just sits on someone's desk gathering dust.
Q: Can I fill out the application on behalf of my client?
Yes! You see the exact same questions on your side that the client sees. So if you already know your client wants $200K and you have their address and other details, you can go ahead and fill that out for them. This is really handy when clients get stuck or are too busy to complete things. You can push the file along and keep the deal moving forward.
Q: What if my client's application is only partially filled out? Can I still do anything with it?
Yes. You don't need a 100% complete application to start getting value from the platform. You can begin filling in what you know, and the AI will flag what's missing and what would be helpful to continue. You can also run matchmaking on a partial application to get a sense of which lenders might be a fit, even before every field is complete. This helps you have more informed conversations with your client about what they still need to provide without waiting until everything is perfect.
Q: What documents do clients typically need to provide?
It depends on the lender and the loan product, but common documents include recent bank statements (usually three to six months), financial statements or tax returns, a government issued ID, and sometimes a business plan or cash flow projections. The good news is that you control what you ask for up front. You don't have to request everything right away. Some brokers start with just an ID and a few months of bank statements to get the ball rolling, and then collect additional documents as the deal progresses and specific lenders request them.
Q: What is autofill and how does it work?
When you want to submit to multiple lenders, autofill takes the info from the master application and automatically fills out separate applications for each lender you've selected. So instead of manually filling out three to four different applications, you fill out one and click autofill for the rest. It's a huge time saver and it eliminates the repetitive data entry that bogs brokers down.
Q: What is OCR and drag and drop document parsing?
This is a feature where you can drag and drop existing documents, like old applications, financial statements, or bank statements, into the system, and it will automatically read through them and fill out the application for you. No more manual data entry from paper documents. The system parses the info and spreads it into the right fields. It's one of the most requested features we've built.
Lender Matchmaking
Q: How does lender matchmaking work?
Once your client's application has a good amount of info filled in, you can run a matchmaking process. The system looks at all the data and figures out which of our lenders your client is the best fit for. It considers things like geography, industry, financials, credit profile, and what the client needs the money for. You'll typically see one to three matches, sometimes more, sometimes none. Our goal is quality over quantity. We'd rather give you two solid matches than blast seven lenders with a deal that doesn't fit.
Q: How many lenders does Levr have?
We currently have about 50 lenders on the platform, and we're adding three to five new ones every month. The goal is to hit 100 by the end of the year. We've got a mix of everything: SBA, banks, venture debt, equipment financing, MCA, lines of credit, working capital, loans against grants, and more. If your client needs funding, we can help you find the right lender.
Q: Can I see each lender's individual requirements before I submit?
Yes. Each lender on the platform has their own individual list of requirements and criteria, and it's all populated within the system. You can review what a lender is looking for before you ever submit an application. This helps you have more informed conversations with your clients and avoid wasting time submitting to a lender that isn't going to be a fit.
Q: What does "integrated" mean next to a lender?
When you see "integrated" on the submission type, it means we've built directly into that lender's backend system. That means once you hit submit, there's no additional paperwork, no signing, nothing. It goes straight through. These are the deals with the least amount of administration on your end because we've already done the heavy lifting to connect the systems.
Q: What if a lender isn't integrated?
For non integrated lenders, you've still submitted a complete application to get things rolling. They may reach out to you for some clarifications or extra info, but you're starting from a much stronger position than emailing a PDF around and waiting for someone to open it.
Q: Can I use my own lenders that aren't on Levr?
Yes! You're absolutely welcome to submit to lenders who aren't part of our marketplace. There's a "share with external" option that lets you do exactly that. And if you already have partnership agreements with lenders who are on our platform, those agreements are honored. You keep your negotiated rates. We're here to add to your toolkit, not replace it.
Q: Do you shut off lenders?
We do, yes. If a lender is misbehaving, whether that's poor communication, bad terms, or other issues, we'll shut them off. We're actively curating the marketplace to make sure the experience is consistently good for brokers and their clients.
Q: Are there lenders for Canadian and American businesses?
Yes, both. We have Canadian and U.S. lenders on the platform. The mix used to be roughly 50/50 but it's been growing heavier into the U.S. market. When a business puts in their address or incorporation details, the system automatically filters for lenders that operate in that geography. So you're never going to end up with a mismatched offer or waste time submitting to a lender that can't serve your client.
Q: What happens if my client doesn't match with any lenders?
It happens. Depending on the client's profile, there may be situations where no lenders on the platform are a fit. That's actually useful information. It tells you that going to market right now might not be productive for this particular client. You can use that to have an honest conversation with your client about what needs to change, whether that's improving their financials, building more business history, or adjusting what they're looking for. You can also submit to your own external lenders if you believe there's a fit outside our marketplace.
Q: What industries do the lenders on Levr serve?
The lenders on Levr cover a wide range of industries. You'll find options for retail, food service, professional services, construction, healthcare, e commerce, transportation, manufacturing, and many more. Some lenders are industry agnostic and will work with almost any operating business, while others specialize in specific sectors. The matchmaking system takes industry into account when recommending lenders, so you'll always see the most relevant options for your client.
Q: What is the minimum or maximum loan size available through Levr?
Loan sizes vary significantly by lender and product type. On the lower end, some working capital and MCA lenders will fund deals as small as $5,000 to $10,000. On the higher end, SBA loans, bank term loans, and equipment financing can go well into the hundreds of thousands or even millions. The matchmaking system factors in the requested loan amount when recommending lenders, so your client will only see options that fit within the range they're looking for.
Deal Management & Workflow
Q: What's the difference between "Businesses" and "Deals" in Levr?
Think of Businesses as your clients or leads. Each business represents a company you're working with. Deals are the actual loan applications that come out of those businesses. So one business might have multiple deals if they're applying to several lenders at once, or if they come back for additional financing later. The Businesses tab is where you manage your client relationships, and the Deals tab is where you track the status of each individual application through the pipeline.
Q: What is a deal room?
A deal room is the workspace for a specific application to a specific lender. When you create a deal, Levr sets up a deal room where all the information, documents, communication, and status updates for that particular submission live. If you're submitting to three lenders, you'll have three separate deal rooms, each with its own progress tracking. This keeps everything organized and makes sure nothing gets mixed up between submissions.
Q: Can I submit to multiple lenders at the same time?
Absolutely. In fact, that's one of the biggest advantages of the platform. Once your client's master application is filled out, you can select multiple matched lenders and create deal rooms for each one simultaneously. The autofill feature populates each lender's specific application from the master data, so you're not starting from scratch every time. Submitting to three lenders takes almost the same effort as submitting to one.
Q: What happens after I submit an application to a lender?
Once you submit, a few things happen depending on whether the lender is integrated or not. For integrated lenders, the application goes directly into their system and they'll start processing it on their end. For non integrated lenders, they'll receive the complete application and may reach out with clarifications or additional requests. Either way, you can track the status of each deal in your pipeline view. You'll see when things move to review, when offers come in, and when deals fund. The AI summary will also keep you updated on what's happening across all your active deals.
Q: How do lenders respond? Do they contact me directly?
It depends on the lender. Some communicate directly through the Levr platform, especially the integrated ones. Others may reach out to you via email or phone for clarifications, additional documents, or to present offers. Either way, you're always the point of contact. The lender is working with you, not going around you to the client. Your role as the broker is fully preserved.
Q: What does the dashboard look like?
When you log in, you see your main dashboard with the AI agent front and center. You can immediately see your top priorities, active applications, and pending deals. From there, you've got your Businesses tab (which is essentially your leads) and your Deals tab (which is your active applications). There's also a pipeline view that shows you the workflow stages: what's in progress, what's been declined, what's funded, and everything in between. It's designed so you can see the full picture at a glance.
Q: Can I see a summary of each business at a glance?
Yes. When you click into a business, the AI generates a summary that tells you what's going on. How many active applications are out, if they've been declined by anyone, if there's missing info that's holding things up. It's a quick snapshot so you don't have to dig through everything manually.
Q: Can I message my clients through the platform?
Yes, there's in platform messaging so you can communicate directly with your clients about their applications and deal status. It keeps everything organized in one place rather than scattered across email, text, and phone calls.
Q: Do I have to share deal progress with my client?
It's entirely up to you. When you create a deal, you can choose to keep it visible only to yourself, or you can include the client so they can see progress. If you choose to include them, they'll have visibility into where things stand and can see updates and communicate with you through the platform. If you prefer to keep things behind the scenes and just update them yourself, you can manage everything on your end and bring them into the loop when you're ready. It's flexible depending on how you like to work with your clients.
Q: What happens if a deal gets declined or falls through?
Declines and deals that fall through are a normal part of the business and the platform handles them smoothly. When a deal is declined, it's marked in your pipeline so you know exactly where things stand. The AI can help you understand why the decline happened based on the lender's criteria and your client's profile. From there, you have a few options. You can submit to a different lender that may be a better fit. You can work with the client to strengthen their application, maybe improving their documentation or addressing a specific weakness. Or you can use your own external lender relationships if you think there's a fit outside the platform. Sometimes deals fall through for other reasons too. Either way, the deal is tracked in your pipeline with a full history, and all the application data and documents stay in the system. Nothing is lost. You can always revisit that client later and try again with a different lender or a different loan product. A decline from one lender doesn't mean the deal is dead. It just means you need to pivot.
Q: Can I run multiple deals for the same client?
Yes. A single business can have multiple active deals at the same time. Maybe you're submitting to three lenders simultaneously, or maybe the client needs both a working capital line and equipment financing. Each deal has its own deal room and tracks independently. You can also come back months later and start new deals for the same client without re entering all their information, because their business profile is already in the system.
Q: How long does a typical deal take from start to funding?
It varies a lot depending on the lender and the loan product. For MCA or working capital products through integrated lenders, you could see preliminary approvals within 24 to 48 hours and funding in as little as 3 to 7 business days. For bank loans or SBA products, the process is naturally longer and can take weeks to a couple of months depending on the complexity. On your end, what used to take 4 to 8 hours of broker time per deal can now be done in under an hour with Levr's automation and autofill, so the bottleneck is usually on the lender's side, not yours.
Client Experience
Q: What does my client actually see when they use the platform?
Your client sees a clean, branded experience with your logo and your name front and center. Levr is co branded, but our branding is minimal and sits in the bottom corners just to leverage a little bit of our brand equity. The dominant branding is yours. Your logo, your name, your colors. When they click your signup link or application button, they land on a page that looks and feels like your platform. They see the application questions, a place to upload documents, and the ability to invite collaborators like their spouse, accountant, or business partner. Your clients should feel like they're working with you, not a third party platform. It's designed to look professional and make you look good.
Q: What if my client isn't tech savvy? Will they struggle with the application?
The application is designed to be simple and intuitive. It's a step by step process with clear questions, nothing confusing or overly technical. And remember, your client doesn't have to fill it all out themselves. You can fill in fields on their behalf, invite collaborators to help, or even do the whole thing for them if you already have their information. If they get stuck, you're right there on the other side of the platform to push things along.
Commissions & Getting Paid
Q: How do commissions work?
Every lender on our platform pays a commission, and those vary by lender and product. Some pay 2% upfront and 1% ongoing. Some pay 3%. Some pay 8%. It depends on the lender and the deal structure. The commission details are all visible in the system so you always know what you're working with before you submit. No surprises, full transparency. Commissions are paid on funded deals where the lender has a commission structure in place. The vast majority of lenders on the platform pay commissions. The main exception is banks, which typically don't pay broker commissions due to their thin margins. In those cases, you charge the client directly. There may also be rare situations where a deal structure or lender policy results in a different payout arrangement, but this is always visible and transparent in the system before you submit anything.
Q: Can I see lender commission rates before I decide to submit?
Yes. When you run matchmaking and see your matched lenders, the commission information is displayed right there. You'll see exactly what each lender pays before you create a deal room or submit anything. This lets you factor commissions into your decision about which lenders to pursue, alongside fit, speed, and terms.
Q: What about lenders that don't pay commissions, like banks?
Good question. Banks are on the platform, but their spreads are so thin they typically don't pay broker commissions. In that case, you charge the client a consulting fee. So you'd say something like, "Look, I can get you prime lending from this bank, but my fee is going to be $5,000." The banks have no issue with that arrangement and your client gets access to the best possible rate.
Q: How should I structure my fees when I charge clients directly?
This is entirely up to you and will depend on the deal size, the complexity, and your market. Many brokers charge a flat consulting fee, typically ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 depending on the loan size. Others charge a percentage of the funded amount, usually between 1% and 5%. For bank deals where the lender doesn't pay a commission, the fee conversation is usually straightforward: you explain the value you're bringing (access to prime lending, managing the process, saving them time) and your fee for that service. Most clients are happy to pay when they understand what they're getting.
Q: How do I actually get paid?
Once a deal funds, we go and collect the commission from the lender on your behalf and deposit it directly into your bank account. You don't have to chase the lender, send invoices, or run a receivables process. We handle all of that for you as a free service, and since Levr is free for brokers there's no cost for it at all.
Q: How quickly do I get paid after a deal funds?
We process payments every Friday. So once we receive the funds from the lender, it typically takes about a week to land in your account. Consistent, predictable, and hassle free.
Q: Can I just have the lender pay me directly?
If you already have a direct relationship with the lender, absolutely. They can pay you directly. The commission collection service is optional and free. It's there for convenience, especially for lenders you don't have an existing relationship with.
Q: Can I negotiate commissions with lenders?
In many cases, yes. Some lenders are flexible and open to per deal negotiations. Others are hardline. They pay a set percentage and that's it. But if you already have your own partnership agreement with a lender that's on our platform, they'll honor your rate, even if it's different from the default we show. Your relationships are respected.
Types of Lending & Limitations
Q: What types of business loans can I access through Levr.ai?
Levr connects you to 50+ lenders across all major lending categories: term loans and lines of credit, SBA loans (7(a), 504, Express), equipment financing and leasing, commercial real estate loans, merchant cash advances and revenue based financing, invoice factoring and purchase order financing, working capital loans, startup financing and venture debt, and industry specific specialty lending. If your client needs funding, we can help you find the right lender.
Q: Does Levr do real estate loans?
We're starting to move in that direction, but for now, real estate (meaning lending against a property asset) is not our strongest area. Real estate lending is highly regulated, and we've focused our energy on business lending, which is where we deliver the most value. Expect significant improvements in this area by end of year as we expand our lender network.
Q: What kinds of businesses qualify?
The businesses need to be operating, meaning they're already up and running and generating revenue. They can't be startups that haven't launched yet. They can't be in the process of buying or selling. And they can't be looking for real estate financing (for now). Beyond that, there's a wide range of industries and business types that can use the platform successfully.
Q: Do you have SBA lenders?
Yes, we have two to three SBA lenders on the platform right now, and we're adding more. SBA lending is definitely part of the mix and it's a growing area of focus for us.
Q: I want to be a capital advisor, not just an MCA broker. Does Levr support that?
Absolutely, and we love hearing that. Levr is built to support the full spectrum of business lending, not just MCA. The matchmaking system is designed so that if your client qualifies for cheaper, bank level debt, they'll be matched with it first. MCA and higher cost products show up when that's genuinely the best or only option. So you can position yourself as a true capital advisor who structures the right financing stack for each client. If they need quick bridge money, that's available. But if they can get a prime bank loan, that's where the system will guide you first. It's up to you to structure around that and serve your clients the right way.
Q: Can MCA or short term lending be used as a bridge to longer term financing?
Yes, and this is a smart strategy that many experienced brokers use. Sometimes a client needs quick capital to address an immediate need, and MCA or a short term working capital product can serve as the bridge while you work on getting them approved for longer term, lower cost financing. Levr supports this because you can run multiple deals for the same client. You might submit for a quick MCA now and simultaneously start the process for an SBA loan that takes longer to fund. It's about structuring the capital stack properly for the client's situation.
Q: How long does it take to get approved?
Approval timelines vary by lender and loan product, but Levr dramatically speeds up the process. What traditionally takes 4 to 8 hours of broker time can now be done in under an hour. For many lenders on our platform, clients receive preliminary approval decisions within 24 to 48 hours, with final approvals and funding happening in as little as 3 to 7 business days for qualified applicants. Our AI powered documentation and pre qualification tools help ensure applications are complete and accurate from day one, reducing back and forth delays.
Q: What if my client has existing debt? Can they still get approved?
Having existing debt doesn't automatically disqualify anyone. Many lenders on the platform work with businesses that have existing obligations. What matters is the overall financial picture: revenue, cash flow, debt service coverage, and the purpose of the new financing. The matchmaking system takes all of this into account and will only match your client with lenders who are likely to work with their profile. If existing debt is a concern, the AI can help you understand how it impacts their options and which lenders are most flexible.
CRM, Marketing & Integrations
Q: Does Levr replace my CRM?
Levr handles the deal management and lending side of things: applications, lender matching, submissions, commissions, and pipeline tracking. What we don't do is marketing. No text messages, phone calls, email tracking, or the typical CRM marketing features. Levr also doesn't generate leads for you or run marketing campaigns on your behalf. For all of that, you'll need a separate CRM. We integrate with GoHighLevel, which we strongly recommend for brokers. Think of Levr as the engine that converts leads into funded deals. You bring the leads through your CRM and marketing efforts, and we help you close them faster and more efficiently.
Q: Why do you recommend GoHighLevel?
For brokers, GoHighLevel is the go to CRM. No question. It's got everything you need for marketing, texting, email, phone calls, website building, and more. It starts at about $90 per month. We don't think there's a strong second place. Everything else requires too much customization to get to the same level of functionality.
Q: How does the GoHighLevel integration work?
Your contacts in Levr will sync to GoHighLevel through our integration. Levr has a contacts tab inside the platform that tracks all of your business contacts, and that data flows over to your CRM when the integration is set up. So when new businesses sign up through your link, the contact info automatically syncs to GoHighLevel for marketing and follow ups. We have an API that connects the two platforms so everything stays in sync without you having to manually export or import anything.
Q: Does Levr build websites?
No, website building has to be done externally, through your CRM, a web designer, or a website builder. What we can do is give you a button or link to embed on your site that sends people directly to your Levr powered application. It's a seamless experience for your clients even though the tools are separate.
Q: What does the signup link look like on my website?
Most brokers add a button on their website that says something like "Apply Now" or "Get Funded." That button links to your personalized Levr application page. When a client clicks it, they see your branding, your logo, and they go straight into the application flow. It looks professional and feels like a natural part of your website even though Levr is powering it behind the scenes. We'll help you set this up during onboarding.
Finding Clients & Building Your Pipeline
Q: How do I find clients as a new broker?
This is where your network becomes your biggest asset. Most successful brokers start with people they already know. Business owners in your circle, friends of friends, connections from previous careers in banking or finance. Beyond your network, you can build referral relationships with mortgage brokers, accountants, bookkeepers, lawyers, and financial advisors who work with small businesses every day. When their clients need business financing, they send them to you. You can also use your CRM (like GoHighLevel) to build marketing funnels, run ads, send email campaigns, and generate inbound leads. The Levr e-book covers some of these strategies as well.
Q: What's the referral partner system?
You can create referral codes for your network. Mortgage brokers, accountants, friends in banking, anyone who might send business your way. When someone signs up through their code, it gets tracked so you know exactly where your leads are coming from. It's a simple way to build a referral pipeline without a lot of overhead or complicated tracking spreadsheets.
Q: Can I track which referral partners are sending me the most business?
Yes. The referral tracking in Levr shows you where each business came from. So if you've given referral codes to multiple partners, you can see which ones are actually sending you leads. This helps you focus your relationship building efforts on the partners who are producing results and have conversations with the ones who aren't.
Q: Do my referral partners get compensated?
That's entirely up to you. Levr doesn't manage referral partner compensation. Some brokers pay their referral partners a flat fee or a percentage of the commission for each funded deal they send over. Others simply maintain the relationship as a mutual exchange of value. You structure those agreements however you like, independent of the platform.
Security & Data Protection
Q: Is my client data secure?
Absolutely. Levr employs bank level security measures, including 256 bit encryption, SOC 2 compliance, and regular third party security audits. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We never share your client data with third parties without explicit permission, and we maintain comprehensive audit trails for compliance purposes. Your clients' sensitive financial information is protected with the same standards used by major financial institutions.
Q: Who owns the client data I put into Levr?
Your data is yours. The client information, applications, and documents you put into Levr belong to you. We don't resell your data, use it to compete with you, or share it without your permission. You're trusting us with sensitive business information and we take that responsibility seriously.
Q: Can I export my data if I decide to leave?
Yes. Your data doesn't get locked inside the platform. If you ever decide to move on, you can export your client information and deal data. We don't believe in holding your data hostage. Our goal is to earn your loyalty through value, not by making it difficult to leave.
Access & Technical
Q: Can I access Levr from my phone?
Levr is cloud based, so you can access it from any computer or device with a browser. The best experience is on desktop, but it works from anywhere. Just go to levr.ai and log in. There isn't a dedicated mobile app right now, but since it's browser based, you can pull it up on your phone's browser to check in on deals, respond to clients, or review your pipeline when you're away from your desk. Desktop is still the recommended experience for doing the heavy lifting like filling out applications and running matchmaking.
Q: What happens if the platform goes down?
Our platform is built on reliable cloud infrastructure and we maintain high uptime standards. In the rare event of downtime, we communicate proactively with our broker community and work to resolve issues quickly. Your data is always safe and nothing is lost during maintenance or outages. We're a small team that takes platform reliability seriously because we know your business depends on it.
For New and Experienced Brokers
Q: I'm brand new to brokering. Is Levr right for me?
Levr is a great fit for new brokers. The AI agent is especially valuable when you're starting out. It can help you understand lender criteria, draft credit memos, figure out why a deal didn't match, and navigate the platform. Plus, you get instant access to 50+ lender relationships that would take you years to build on your own. Just plan for that three to four month learning curve and commit to the process. We'll be right there with you.
Q: I'm an experienced broker. What's in it for me?
For established brokers, the value is efficiency and expanded reach. You might only need two or three lenders, but having 50 means more deals get funded. If your go to lenders don't do e commerce, for instance, we've got e commerce lenders. The platform also saves you from the administration headaches. No more chasing commissions, no more filling out the same application four times. And at 100% commissions with no splits, plus a platform that's free for brokers, the math works out really well compared to working under a brokerage that takes 30 to 50%. Even if you already have strong lender relationships, we're not trying to replace them. What Levr adds is the ability to fund more deals. If your existing lenders decline a deal or don't offer the right product, you now have 50 more options without having to spend months building those relationships from scratch. You also get the operational benefits: automated submissions, commission collection, pipeline tracking, and AI support. Those extra funded deals are pure upside.
Q: I'm currently using a brokerage that takes a commission split. Should I switch?
That's a decision only you can make, but here's the math. If you're getting 70% of what a brokerage gets and the commission on a deal is $10,000, you're handing over $3,000. With Levr, you keep the full $10,000 and pay nothing, since Levr is free for brokers. That 30% adds up fast. A lot of our brokers who switched from split based models say the savings on a single deal are significant, and the rest is pure profit.
Q: What does a realistic first year look like for a new broker?
Every broker's journey is different, but here's a general picture. Months one through three are about learning the platform, building your pipeline, and getting your first few applications in. Months four through six, you should have deals in progress and ideally your first funded deal or two. Months seven through twelve, you're building momentum, your referral network is producing leads, and you're seeing consistent deal flow. Some brokers fund their first deal within the first month or two. Others take longer depending on their network and how much time they dedicate. The brokers who succeed are the ones who treat it like a real business and stay consistent.
Q: Can I do this part time or does it need to be full time?
Many of our brokers start part time while they're building their pipeline and learning the industry. That's completely fine. The platform is always there when you need it and you work at your own pace. Just know that your results will be proportional to the time and effort you put in. Brokers who commit more hours tend to ramp up faster, but there's no requirement to be full time. Levr works around your schedule.
What's Coming Next
Q: What new features are being developed?
Levr is constantly shipping updates. Here are some of the big things on the roadmap: Autofill across applications so you fill out one and the rest auto populate. OCR and drag and drop document parsing so you can drop in financial statements or old applications and the system fills out the app for you. More lender integrations with a goal of 100 lenders by year end. Improved real estate lending support expected later this year. And continued AI improvements to make the agent smarter and more helpful with every update.
Q: How often does the platform get updated?
Frequently. We're a small, agile team and we ship constantly. New lenders come on every month, and feature updates roll out on a regular basis. We're always listening to broker feedback to figure out what to build next. If there's something you need, let us know. There's a good chance it's already on the roadmap.
Q: Can I request features or give feedback?
Absolutely, and we encourage it. We're a small team building for real brokers, and the best features we've shipped have come directly from broker feedback. If something is slowing you down or you have an idea that would make your life easier, tell us. We can't promise every request will get built tomorrow, but we take every piece of feedback seriously and it shapes our roadmap.
Support & Help
Q: What kind of support do you offer?
We're really hands on. You get a full onboarding session, we'll work through your first deal with you live, and you can reach out to us with questions anytime. Between onboarding sessions, we're available for quick questions, follow ups, or if you just need something clarified. We'd rather you ask and get it right than struggle in silence. We're a small team, so you're not dealing with a faceless support queue. You're talking to the people who built the platform. We also have tutorials and guides inside the app, plus the AI agent can answer a lot of your how to questions on the spot. That's not the kind of experience where you submit a ticket and wait three days. You reach out, and we help.
Q: Is there a community of other Levr brokers I can connect with?
We're always looking for ways to help brokers connect and learn from each other. As the broker community grows, we're exploring options for community spaces where brokers can share tips, ask questions, and support each other. In the meantime, our team is always available and we're happy to share what we're seeing work well for other brokers on the platform (without sharing confidential information, of course).
Q: Do you offer promotions or perks?
The biggest one is simple: the platform is free for brokers, with full access and no subscription. Beyond that, from time to time we run other promotions or perks for our broker community. If you're on the fence, sign up, it costs nothing, and stay in touch and we'll let you know when something new comes up. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get started.
