When and how do I get paid after a deal funds?

Payout timing, how the money reaches you, clawbacks, and charging your own fee on top.

Written by Kaylan Pepin

Once a deal funds, we collect the commission from the lender on your behalf and deposit it into your bank account. You do not chase the lender, send invoices, or run a receivables process. The service is optional and free, and we do not take a cut of your commission.

Click through the walkthrough above to see where the commission shows next to each matched lender, then read the timing below.

Timing

Payment runs go out every Friday. We aim to pay you in the same week the lender pays us.

The variable is the lender, not us. How long a lender takes to release commission after funding differs by lender and product. It is one chain: lender pays us, we pay you on the next run.

How the money reaches you

The commission is deposited directly into your bank account. If you already have a direct relationship with a lender, you can skip our collection entirely and have that lender pay you directly. For your own custom or external lenders that are not in the network, you arrange payment with them directly.

Clawbacks

Some lenders have clawback terms, so commission can be recovered if a deal unwinds or pays off early. The terms are the lender's, not ours. Levr has no interest in holding your commission, so where a clawback applies we will tell you what the lender is claiming and why.

If you are not sure whether a clawback applies to a specific lender, check the lender profile or email contact@levr.ai before you submit.

Charging your own fee on top

Yes, you can. You are free to charge your client a fee in addition to any commission the lender pays, and the structure is entirely up to you. Some brokers charge a flat consulting fee, some charge a percentage of the funded amount. We do not set or police that.

Some lenders in the network do not pay broker commission. Where that is the case it shows on the lender profile, and brokers commonly charge the client directly instead.

Know the number before you submit

You do not have to guess. Each lender's commission structure shows on their profile, and the commission is displayed next to each matched lender when you run matchmaking. Rates vary widely by lender and product, and the lender profile is the live source, so read it there rather than working from a rule of thumb.

You can also ask the AI something like what is my commission if this deal funds for $500K, and it will answer from the lender data on your deal.

If you already have a partnership agreement with a lender in the network, email contact@levr.ai with the lender name before you submit and we will confirm how your negotiated rate is handled.

If a payment is late

Email contact@levr.ai with the business name and the deal, or message us in the chat. We will tell you where the commission is sitting and chase the lender if needed.
