Sales Tax & Exemption Certificates

Information on sales tax and how to submit tax-exemption or resale certificates.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Why am I being charged sales tax?

We collect sales tax in 37 states under U.S. law and the Supreme Court’s Wayfair decision. Sales tax applies to all orders shipped to states where we are registered.

This is not a fee from our company — it is a state-mandated tax that we are legally required to collect and remit. Online retailers like us must follow the same tax laws as local stores in your state.

Can I place tax-exempt orders?

Yes. If your purchases are tax-exempt, you must provide a valid exemption or reseller certificate for each state where you qualify.

  • The name on your TintX account must match the name on your certificate. Any incorrect or mismatched information may delay processing.

  • If your certificate is expired or invalid, we may invoice the applicable sales tax and contact you to resolve the issue.

How do I submit my certificate?

  1. Create or sign in to your account on our website.

  2. Click Submit Certificates to start your exemption process.

  3. Certificates are processed instantly, allowing tax-exempt checkout.
