Lexful AI Fair Use Policy
This AI Fair Use Policy governs the permitted use by Partners and Authorized Users of the AI features of Lexful’s Services (the “AI Features”). Use of the AI Features constitutes acceptance of Lexful’s AI Fair Use Policy (this “Policy”).
In the event of a conflict between this Policy and any other terms of the Master Reseller Agreement – Subscription Terms (the “Subscription Terms”) with respect to the use of the AI Features, this Policy will control to the extent of the conflict. Unless expressly defined in this Policy, defined terms (denoted with initial capital letters) used in this Policy have the meanings ascribed to them in the Subscription Terms.
Lexful may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When Lexful does so, it will revise the “Current Version” date at the bottom of the first page of this Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide additional notice (such as by posting a notice on its website, within the Services, or by sending an email to Partner). Material changes will be communicated to account contacts. Continued use of the AI Features after such changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. Partner’s continued use of the Services or interaction with Lexful after any update constitutes Partner’s acknowledgement of the revised Policy.
Permitted Uses
Create, draft, summarize, update, or organize MSP operational documentation, runbooks, client-facing guides, internal knowledge articles, standard operating procedures, and project notes to support legitimate business operations.
Use generated outputs as drafting assistance or reference material, subject to human review and approval before any production deployment or client-facing use.
Prohibited Inputs and Outputs
Do not upload or request generation of illegal content; content that infringes third‑party intellectual property rights; content that promotes violence, hate, discrimination, or harassment; or content that enables criminal activity (including malware, social‑engineering, or fraud).
Do not submit, as prompts, context, or other inputs to the AI Features, regulated personal data (for example, unredacted protected health information, payment card data, or national identification numbers) or other highly sensitive personal data unless expressly permitted under a written DPA or equivalent written agreement that specifically authorizes such use with the AI Features. The Services may include password vault and credential-management functionality for appropriate storage and handling of authentication or access-related data in accordance with the Subscription Terms and any applicable DPA; however, you must not include credentials, private keys, connection strings, or other secrets in prompts or other inputs to the AI Features unless such inclusion is expressly authorized in writing by Lexful and, where required, in the applicable DPA or Additional Terms.
Do not use outputs to impersonate individuals, create forged documentation, or otherwise misrepresent the identity of the author or the provenance of content in a deceptive, misleading, or unlawful manner (including in violation of any applicable law, professional obligation, or contractual requirement).
Human Validation and Operational Safety
All AI-generated documentation must be reviewed, validated, and approved by qualified personnel (for example, system administrators, engineers, or compliance officers) before being relied upon for operational changes, client delivery, or automation. The Services are assistive; final responsibility for accuracy, completeness, and safety rests with the customer.
Attribution and Transparency
Customers are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, professional or ethical rules, and contractual obligations that govern disclosure of AI assistance, authorship, and provenance of content, including any requirements to identify AI-generated or AI-assisted materials. Customers must not use the AI Features or any outputs to falsely or misleadingly represent that content was authored exclusively by a human, or to otherwise misrepresent or conceal the role of the AI Features in a manner that is deceptive, misleading, or unlawful. Generated outputs and related metadata may be logged by Lexful for auditing, quality, and safety purposes.
Data Handling and Confidentiality
Data submitted to the AI Features will be processed in accordance with the applicable Subscription Terms, the DPA, and the Privacy Policy. Where a DPA applies, its terms govern data processing, storage, and cross‑border transfers. Customers remain responsible for ensuring that inputs comply with applicable data protection laws and for obtaining any necessary consents or rights for third‑party data.
Rate Limits, Resource Fairness, and Security
Lexful may enforce quotas, rate limits, or usage controls to protect system stability and ensure fair access. Automated scraping, abuse, or attempts to bypass limits or security measures are prohibited. Customers must use secure integration methods and must not expose sensitive credentials in API calls or in prompts or other inputs to the AI Features.
Monitoring, Audits, and Cooperation
Lexful may monitor use of the AI Features for compliance with this Policy, safety, and abuse detection. Lexful reserves the right to audit accounts reasonably suspected of violating this Policy and to take remediation measures, including content removal, feature suspension, or termination.
Enforcement and Remedies
Violations of this Policy may result in warnings, suspension or termination of access to the AI Features, retention of evidence, and liability for damages. Lexful may cooperate with law enforcement or third‑party rights holders as required by law.
Changes
Lexful may update this Policy from time to time as described above. Material changes will be communicated to account contacts as set forth in this Policy. Continued use of the AI Features after such changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
