TL;DR - Configure which asset properties to track under Settings > Monitoring, then use the Expirations menu to see expired, expiring soon, and upcoming assets across your client sites.
Before You Start: Configure Monitoring
The Expirations menu only shows data for asset properties you've explicitly told Lexful to watch. This is configured once under Settings > Monitoring.
Setting Up Monitored Properties
Go to Settings > Monitoring - Select Monitoring from the left sidebar under Settings.
Set your warning window - Enter the number of days before expiration that an asset should be flagged as Expiring Soon. The default is 30 days.
đĄ Choose a window that gives your team enough lead time to act. For SSL certificates or domain renewals, 60â90 days is common.
Add monitored asset properties - Under Monitored asset properties, click + Add property. Select an asset type from the left dropdown, then select the date-based property to track from the right dropdown. Repeat for each asset type you want to monitor.
đ Only date-based fields appear in the property dropdown. If a field isn't listed, confirm it's configured as a date type under Settings > Asset types.
Save your changes - Click Save. Lexful will begin surfacing matching assets in the Expirations menu.
â ď¸ Removing a monitored property removes it from the Expirations view immediately. Assets tied to that property will no longer appear.
Overview
The Expirations menu gives you a centralized view of any asset property with a date-based value (such as warranty end dates, license renewals, or domain registrations) across an entire client site.
The summary line at the top of the page shows a quick count of your current expiration statuses:
Expired - the date has already passed
Expiring Soon - the date is approaching within the near-term window
Upcoming - the date is further out but on the horizon
Reading the Expirations List
Assets are grouped by asset type (for example, Configurations, Domains, Internet WAN, SSL Certificates). Each group is collapsible and shows a count of matching assets.
Within each group, the table displays:
Status - a color-coded badge: Expired (red) or Expiring Soon (yellow)
Asset - the asset name as it appears in your site
Property - the specific field being tracked (for example, Warranty Expires At)
Date - when the asset expired or will expire, along with a relative time indicator (e.g., "311 days ago" or "in 26 days")
đĄ Click any column header to sort the list. The Date column sorts ascending by default, surfacing the oldest expirations first.
Filtering by Status or Asset Type
Two filters appear at the top of the list:
All asset types - click to narrow the view to a specific asset type
Statuses selected - click to filter by Expired, Expiring Soon, or Upcoming
You can combine both filters to focus on exactly what you need - for example, all SSL Certificates that are expiring soon.
Navigating Asset Records
Click any row to open the full asset record. From there you can update the relevant property, add notes, or take action on the expiration.
