How to personalize asset list views

TL;DR - Reordering columns and customizing your view is now persistent and per-user. Use the view settings button on any asset list to expand the layout to full width, show archived assets, and group items by tag.

Every asset list in Lexful - Documents, Passwords, Contacts, and more - includes a view settings button in the top right corner. Use it to adjust how the list displays without changing the underlying data.

Click the sliders icon in the top right corner of any asset list to open the view settings panel.

Toggle Full width on to expand the list to match your browser window's width. This surfaces more columns and data without needing to scroll horizontally.

💡 Full width is especially useful on larger monitors or when a list has several tag or metadata columns.

Toggle Show archived on to include archived assets in the list. Archived assets are hidden by default to keep the active view focused.

Use the Grouping dropdown to organize the list by a parent tag instead of showing a flat list. Select a tag category from the dropdown to group all matching assets under that tag.

📝 Grouping options are based on the tag and subtag categories configured for your account and you must include sub-tags in your design (parent tag category and child tags underneath). You can FILTER via parent tags, but the feature of GROUPING lists by subtag is built on the idea that you are grouping around a specific topic/theme/use case. This topic is defined by the title of the parent tag.

If a category isn't listed, confirm it's been created under Settings > Tags.

Select No grouping to return to the default flat list view.

📝 Reorganizing columns and customizing your view is now persistent and per-user. There are new global view settings in Asset Types > select an asset category > Settings tab. Admins can reorder columns and choose to hide columns, to set up default views that are applied globally. Users can still customize their own view as needed. Clearing browser cookies will revert back to the default view settings.
