Uploading your Manuscript Step by Step

Once your author account is ready, you can begin uploading your manuscript. Whether it’s your Story About Your Story, sample chapters, or your full work, this guide will walk you through the process.

Go to www.libraro.com and sign in using the email and password linked to your author account.

After logging in, click on Become an Author, this is a button you will find in the top right of the platform

The Upload Process:

Step 1: Title

  • Enter your title (up to 100 characters) make it clear and engaging.

Step 2: The Blurb

  • Add a short description (up to 500 characters) to hook readers.

Step 3: Cover Image

  • Upload a .jpg or .png (max 5 MB, 1 file) or use a template to create a cover.

Step 4: Story About Your Story

  • Upload a .pdf (max 5 MB, 1 file, 2 pages / 1000 words) to share your inspiration.

Step 5: Sample Chapters

  • Upload sample chapters in .pdf (max 30 MB, 1 file). You must accept the T&Cs to continue.

Step 6: Full Manuscript

  • Upload your manuscript in .pdf (max 30 MB, 1 file) or select “Still Writing.”

  • Remember, during Competitions, this version will be locked, so upload the draft you want to be considered.

Step 7: Genres

  • Choose 1 major genre and up to 4 additional genres that best fit your work. Accurate genre selection helps your manuscript reach the right readers and boosts discoverability.

Step 8: Review

  • Carefully check that your files, title, blurb, and cover are correct. This is also where you’ll review the T&Cs, so take a moment to make sure everything is in order before publishing.

Step 9: Publish

  • Click Publish to make your manuscript live on Libraro. At this stage, you may be asked to select a membership plan. Once published, your work becomes visible to the Libraro community, giving readers and publishers a chance to discover it.

Step 10: Confirmation

  • After publishing, you’ll see a congratulations message confirming your submission. From here, you can return to your dashboard or view your work directly on the platform to see how it appears to others.
