Instructions and Tips for Partners of Agencies and Publishers

Agencies and partners cannot submit manuscripts on behalf of authors, even where they hold representation. However, they can:

  1. Sign up as a partner

  2. Go to their profile under the Libraro Contest Prize

  3. Refer the author submit the sample chapter directly

  4. Track the status of the manuscript and the author’s submission as a partner referrer

This structure allows us to track that the manuscript has been referred by the agency. If the manuscript is selected by votes of audience/Libraro & Hachette, both the author and the referring agency would be awarded. We have intentionally designed the contest so that entries are submitted directly by authors, with referrals from readers, authors, or partners, to avoid:

  • Introducing perceived or actual advantages in visibility, promotion, or reach

  • Shifting the focus from reader discovery to professional representation

  • Creating an uneven playing field between represented and unrepresented authors

Tips for Sharing Your Referral Link

  • Introduce Libraro by explaining what it offers a space for writers, readers, and publishers to connect and discover new talent.

  • Share your personal experience on the platform to make your invitation more genuine.

  • Avoid posting your link in spam or unrelated online spaces.
