At Licensed Peptides, we take product testing seriously—far beyond just checking ingredients and purity.
Here’s what we test for:
Purity: Each product must be at least 99% pure. We verify this using a method called High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
Identity: The substance must match exactly what we claim it is. No substitutions, no guesswork.
Amount (Assay): The actual quantity of the compound must fall within a specific range—not more than 15% over or 5% under the expected amount.
Sterility: Every product must be completely free of germs. We use careful filtration during filling and run additional tests after freeze-drying to ensure this.
Bacterial Endotoxins: These toxic byproducts from bacteria can cause harmful immune responses. We follow strict standards (USP 85) to keep levels below 0.05 EU/mL. Anything above 0.5 EU/mL could be dangerous.
Heavy Metals: We're expanding our testing to check for harmful metals like lead, arsenic, mercury, and cadmium. Current guidelines may be outdated, so we’re adopting advanced testing methods like ICP-MS.
What’s ICP-MS? It's a testing system that heats a sample until it breaks into tiny charged particles. A magnetic field then separates these particles by weight, allowing precise detection of each metal.
We’re always working to improve our testing as new information becomes available. Feel free to check back often or reach out with any questions.
