Diabetes is a serious disease. When selecting an appropriate diet, it's absolutely vital that the food be approved by your veterinarian. While our premium canned and dry cat foods provide excellent nutrition, they are not specifically formulated for diabetic cats.

However, Instinctive Choice canned cat food may be approved by your veterinarian. This All Life Stage Food contains a high percentage of protein and extremely low levels of carbohydrates in the form of fiber, as follows:

Protein: 12.0% as fed, or 50.0% dry matter
Carbohydrates: 1.32% as fed, or 4.84% dry matter

To provide nutritional support over and above whatever formula is prescribed to meet your cat's unique needs, we recommend that you ask your veterinarian to take a look at our Ultra Pure Fish Oil, which is verified pure by an independent third-party laboratory, as this product could prove beneficial.
