There are many different probiotic strains, some of which are do better in stressful conditions than others. Typically, strains that are better suited to resist only heat and not stomach acid require enteric coating, because the coating process requires high temperatures which could destroy some strains. All that being said, our formula does not require enteric coating because our probiotic strains resist the effects of stomach acid and continue to perform very well after digestion. In fact, you can even remove the the loose powder from the capsule and still receive all the benefits of our Probiotic!
