May 1 Update: After the February 2, 2023 train derailment we committed to closely monitor water quality at our Ohio manufacturing facility. We've conducted water testing from multiple sources and it's remained clean. We're confident in the continued safety of our facilities, team members and the pet foods we produce there.

Your concern about the recent train derailment in Ohio is understandable. Our hearts go out to all the people and animals affected by this tragedy.

The most important thing for you to know is that while some of our food is manufactured in Ohio, none of it is stored there. In fact, our closest warehouse is about 475 miles from where this derailment occurred. So, the food we are shipping is safe.

You should also know that we have adequate stock in our warehouses, so this issue is not an immediate concern.

As we say on every bag, we also manufacture food in New York, and that plant is also over 400 miles away from the train derailment. Should we need to, we can increase production in New York to cover any loss of production from Ohio. Unexpected events such as this are the main reason we have built back ups into our manufacturing.

The Ohio manufacturing facility is upstream of the derailment site and has not experienced any negative effects since the February 3rd accident. We do not foresee danger to its water supply, yet the water is being tested regularly and remains safe. Rest assured that, out of an abundance of caution, prior to accepting delivery of any new product from Ohio, we will conduct our own independent testing of the water to ensure that the food and the people who make it are safe.

Thank you for continuing to place your trust in us to deliver the best quality products for your entire family.
