A Learner Guide is the book that a member of a Sunday School classes uses.
Learner Guides should be considered an integral part of the tools learners use in Bible study. Teaching plans in a Leader Guide often call for use of the Learner Guide during the session, and teachers may want to review actions and activities called for in Learner Guides when they gather with learners on Sunday morning.
Learner Guides provide significant interactive elements for learners. The Adult Learner Guides include a daily devotional time and suggestions for note taking at times during the week. Having these notes with them on Sunday will help learners interact and share their Bible study experiences from the week.
You may suggest that teachers inform learners ahead of time of this approach in the curriculum materials, and let them know that their Learner Guides provide opportunities to follow through during the week as well as during the class sessions.
