If you're playing on a device with below the recommended size of the RAM (random access memory), you may experience performance issues. When we add new features to our games, this expands the size of the game and increases the demands on your device.
Here are some helpful tips to fix these issues. However they do not guarantee to fix your problems, as older iOS devices are known to have memory leaks with graphically intensive games.
Speed Up you iOS device by Disabling Transparency & Motion
Transparency and Motion are sleek and visually appealing features of iOS. However, if you're okay without them, turning them off can improve your device's responsiveness.
Open the "Settings"
Select "Accessibility"
Click on "Display & Text Size" ➡️ Enable "Reduce Transparency"
Click on "Motion" ➡️
Boost Performance By Disabling Background App Refresh
Background App Refresh is an interesting feature that allows background app activity in iOS. While it is well-intentioned, it can lead to a decrease in device performance. Turning it off is easy, and the only side effect is that when you open an app that gets details from the internet, it refreshes on open rather than in the background – no big deal.
Open the "Settings" app
Scroll down and select "General"
Find "Background App Refresh" and set it to the OFF position
Disable Siri Suggestions for a Another Speed Increase
This is probably the hardest feature to turn off as it is such a notable feature. Unfortunately, it can also slow down your device. Turning it off can offer noticeable increase in speed.
Open the "Settings" app
Scroll down and select "General"
Find "Siri" (or "Siri & Search") and set "Suggestions" to the OFF position
This does mean you will no longer be able to use Siri Suggestions, but the result is improved performance. Whether or not you want to disable the feature for a speed boost is really up to you.
Bonus Tip: Forcibly Reboot the Device
Sometimes, forcing the device to reboot can help performance. This is especially true if there are a lot of background processes active on your device. Rebooting does not guarantee a performance boost, but it is easy to do:
Follow these steps if you need to force restart your iPhone:
Press and quickly release the volume up button.
Press and quickly release the volume down button.
Press and hold the side button.
When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.
Note: For force restart instructions for iPhone 7, iPhone 6s, or iPhone SE (1st generation)—models that don’t support iOS 16 or later—see the iOS 15 version
